But because of how slow these TVs are and how they can’t even navigate menus often without slowdown it wouldn’t be crazy to assume. Doubt those come anytime soon. When Apple decided to go forward with tandem OLED and not MicroLED, that pretty much ended consumer MicroLED for a long while. Both LG and Samsung are full steam ahead with Tandem OLED.

Why are these new panels lg/samsung not 240hz like most oled monitors that flooded the market this year. I am serious and really wonder. It is possible like on most of these monitors to get 4k 240hz through hdmi 2.1 with dsc so really wondering what the problem is. 2 years ago they were 120hz, last year 144hz , this year 165hz... is it gonna take another 3 years ???

but will we ever see next-gen emissive display panels incorporate quantum dot phosphor substrates with multi-zone local dimming arrays to achieve ultra-high luminance beyond 2,000 nits? By exploiting pulsed microLED modulation via self-aligned lithography and an adaptive gamma control matrix, per-pixel flux is precisely calibrated to minimize bloom and crosstalk. Meanwhile, a 12-bit PQ engine dynamically maps tone curves with real-time ambient sensor feedback, aligning theoretical Rec. 2020 gamut boundaries with actual photometric output to deliver extreme brightness without overloading thermal or power envelopes. Thoughts?
@Burn_In_Oled_On_Purpose3 күн бұрын
I hope there will be a 4k mini led tv with 4,000 nits like the bravia 9 but with full screen. Hisense has a 10,000 nits 4k mini led tv and tcl has 5,000 nits 4k mini led tv. My youtube profile is my phones oled burn in display. I have oled burn in issues with every oled device that I use. The one plus 12 has 4,500 nits peak brightness and 1,600 nits in high brightness mode. Unfortunately, the downside is the 4,500 nits is for outdoor mode since I wish there was a way to still retain 4,500 nits even indoors even at night time.

WOLED thing with samsung is terrible. I got mine s90d QD-OLED and very happy but boy was I stressed. Thankfully that's long past me at this point and tv is amazing so I won't be upgrading probably till it dies. I wish anyone that kind of panel. GPUs and consoles will take a long time to even come close to real 4k144hz so no worries there.

No QD panel in the 83” wouldn’t be surprised if the refresh rate is capped at 120hz like how Lg 97” G5 is practically a 3 year old G2. Disappointing how they don’t seem to care about these extra large TVs. I gotta continue weighing out my options ..

DV is actually less accurate in almost all TVs unless we're talking about LG. But even those had elevated blacks in DV. TCL, Hisense and even some Sony models display DV way brighter, even in the supposedly accurate FMM modes. None of the TVs support DV profile 7 and FEL. The FEL especially is a key improvement over regular HDR10 used in BD releases, so that's a shame.
