This saved me a bunch of time! Saw another video suggesting unplugging everything for 10 seconds then trying it. My cables are all hidden in the wall or in hard to reach places so this saved me having to move everything around! Thank you!

Hi.. i have different situation, when cec is on my tv don't see my AVR on HDMI (only sound output in menu seting is visible) and I can't go and see on AVR setup, however i have the sound from tv but only pcm because option passthrough on Samsung tv is greyer and can't chose this option. When I'm put CEC off my tv start see AVR Marantz s70 on HDMI output and then I can change option on my receiver but I don't have sound. My second TV LG CX don't have this problem.

Hi - that's strange - you should toggle ARC options both on the TV and on the AVR and perhaps update system software.
