My wife and i are in our 70s so our hearing is obviously diminished. We have an LG smart i could never het the sound settings to give us a sound quality so we can here clear speech. nomatter how i tried. i then brought a Bose tv speaker with clear speech and that is no better. :-) no i am not deaf but when we watch plder tv programes the sound is perfect. any advice please. so can you recommend a better sound system so as we don't use sub titles. Am sorry i cant recall the model number.

Hi , I missed your live unfortunately so thought I’d ask a question here. Which tv would you recommend , Samsung 65du7172 or tcl p755 I don’t know much about tcl and worried if tcl breaks or has problems have no clue where it would need to be serviced , even my local tv shop guy told me he doesn’t know where tcl service centers are in my country in europe . Hi! Both are similar in terms of picture and sound quality, TCL has 120 Hz mode for 1080p (and probably 1440p as well) so it has advantage if that is important to you. In terms of reliability, I think all brands are similar these days, but if you do not have a TCL service center in your country, perhaps it would be safer to go with Samsung. Also take a look at Samsung's 2023 models, perhaps you could get a 65" Q60C which is brighter and has Quantum dot (better colors in HDR).

C845 ima bolji HDR i preciznije zatamnjenje zbog više zona (mini LED). Ako ti budget omogućuje, kupi njega radije.

Hi, yes it is fast and there is no stuttering or playback issues at least with KZbin and Prime Video which I tried.

Howdy I have a "problem" with the TV, at least I think so. Because when I start a game on the PS5, the picture goes black for a moment. When I close the game, it goes black for a moment. If you have any solutions for this, I would be pleased. My TV: Samsung s90d 65 inches

It is normal if it is switching between SDR and HDR or if VRR or some other function gets enabled. Mainly as daninja130 said, the TV is activating Game picture mode.

It is when hdr is enabled, sdr its dimmed little bit. But its best to keep on 30 to prevent burn in

Is the ips glow okay with a bias light? If we sit at 3.5m from the 55" and use a bias light, will we see ips glow? Or only the black level?

IPS glow will be present with or without bias lighting as that's the way the panel behaves under angle. But with bias lighting some of uniformity issues and not deep blacks won't be as noticeable as without it.

@TVguyDarko Thank you and what about 3.5m viewing distance at 55" with approx 35 degree viewing angle - can you say if IPS glow appears? Because on my IPS PC monitor if I move far enough back, IPS glow goes away. I think they need to put a polarizer or something because my phone screens are IPS and they don't have any IPS glow at all.

I was using a 48" 90 connected to my PC and found the pixel shift option caused some lines to be removed from the top or bottom (probs sides too, but didnt notice. Similar to overscanning in the days of old! Anyway, switching it off gave me my entire 2160 lines, but with a burn-in risk. PCs should be able to do this on their own, really!

I has calibrated my S90C from last year but after update in October 2024 my colours became soft, lifeless and low black levels which I suspect Samsung does on purpose. Buy any Samsung at your own risk it may not last long, mine had just over a year before Samsung ruined my TV

@@gowri0077 There is no "best brand", but currently TCL does offer the most in my opinion for the asking price. Take a look at their entry level mini LED TVs like C755 (2023) or C765 (2024).

You can keep it turned on. For SDR patterns are full field and for HDR if you keep the at 10 or 18% windows local dimming won’t dim them.

Yes, I replied it is OK to keep LD on for SDR as patterns are full-field (covering the entire screen) so LD doesn’t affect it.

This one is going for 750 EUR on black friday sale, that is stupid cheap for a 55" IPS (i cannot tolerate VA) However i know im gonna be disappointed by it I can afford to get G4 but i use HTPC for 99% of usage and I know im gonna get burn in after a couple of years, and LG specifically says in warranty terms that burn in is NOT covered by the 5 year panel warranty So, I'm thinking go "cheap and cheerful" with this QNED and just use a bias light to help with the darker scenes. QNED91 only comes in 65" in my region and that will not fit my cabinet, and its too big for the content we watch (lots of remuxed dvds upscaled on the HTPC)
