I have the same problem, whenever this occurs the fix is cutting the electricity completely from TV, i.e. unplugging and plugging again after 20 seconds for me but it is not fixing itncompletely, it occurs several days later again.

@@jasonrozell9132 I fixed it completely :) In my situation it was all thanks to stand by mode. My TV was in "Keep it ready" mode, it is like Windows sleep mode but when it wake up from sleep, the half of screen becomes dark. I turned it off and now my TV completely turn off when i press on/off button and the problem has gone.
