use the sticker number stamped on the board not the number printed directly on the board. use code TampatecFriend or buydirect5off electropartsonline.com/ another good source is shopjimmy www.shopjimmy.com/components/board-repair-kits or Ebay TV parts store- stores.ebay.com/ElectroParts-Warehouse/About-Us.html

Tampatec hey, I have a LG led 48" smart TV. Approximately a little over two years old. Tv works but I get "snow" on every input. Even screen cast. What happened to it.? Thanks for the great videos. Tv is otherwise snow. Not the cable box, or HDMI cable. Have picture on menus just not in any inputs. Thanks

Tampatec I have a Vizio 55" 4k tv model number M55-C2 the serial number starts with LWZQSBBS The mean board is bad and looked for a replacement one but no luck only found other one's that aren't compatible. I was wondering if I replaced all the guts would that work? Or does it all come down to the panel that would not be compatible?
@SwapPartLLC
@SwapPartLLC 6 жыл бұрын
Those boards are identical except for firmware. So the replacement was programmed for a TV with a different LCD panel. You could have swapped the eeprom from your original board to the replacement and it would have worked, I do it all the time.

Great videos! I just returned my Vizio 43" into service after a lightning strike. Thought it was the power board because I had nothing. I replaced the board before watching your video on checking voltage on board, that would have saved time and money. Bought a mother board on E-Bay, the correct number but wrong series, more time and money wasted. Well, after watching another one of your videos I got the right one. Last, everything worked but the remote control. Ordered an IR board, no go. With time and a lot of patience I checked the little 5 wire ribbon cable to the IR board. That was it! All fixed. I'm no electronics tech, just a retired guy with a Fluke meter. The parts total was about $70.00, It would have been less than half that had I watched your repair videos first. Thank you, I still saved $300.00 on a new TV and had a lot of fun fixing the damaged one.

The number stamped on the board is for the raw, unpopulated board. The same board is often used in many applications and may have both different devices mounted on it and different firmware. That is why you need to use the sticker number.

Thx 4 D video! I'm used to giving numbers to supply house & them sending parts(HVAC!)! Sometimes I give all the numbers I see on the board!! Or they ask for more numbers!? Online can be different than direct consultation before getting part confirmed correctly! That's not really your fault , it's a live & learn moment of online expectancy!? Usually the model & serial number of the product & determining the part would be enough!!!? Version of the board... the company should know what parts are in the unit from those numbers!! But no... they want the tv service man to have it easier than the actual owner!? Thank goodness some of these electronic companies are really trying to help & get the right part to customers!!

It's crazy how many revisions they make of these tv boards that look identical. The timing of this is good since I was looking for a board replacement there that was not in stock and was considering a desperate attempt to order one of the other identical looking revisions to now realize that I am very likely SOL I wonder if and how much Samsung costs to replace these parts since 2.5 years lifespan for a $2800 TV is BS!

Hi Tampatec, Are you open for questions? Your vids encouraged me to get a broken tv and try to fix that. Initially repair of lensbulbs fallen of and also a bad Tcon (probably) My first goal was to fix the lensbulb, so I glued every single bulb. After I re assembled the the the screen had 1 vertical stripe right at the center of the screen. It wasn’t there before. The screen is not cracked! I have a photo taken as an example might you want to see it. I looks like a whole vertical straight stripe of dead pixels. Do you know what the problem could be. I also ordered a “new” Tcon board with the same numbers on the board but a different sticker, right before watching this video. You allready guessed it, it doesn’t work. ;-)

Of course it's luck, but sometimes, logic boards can be changed... even with other models TV from the same brands !! What I did that works in Samsung (2008-2010) : - Logic board from LE32A466 to LE40A456 (same inputs, so same back cover) - Logic board and Power board from le32C450 to le32A466 screen, T-con and inverter board - Logic board from le32b450 to le40a456 (just one "SCART" "PERITEL" port missing, but works) ( Power board from le40a456 to le40a650 : PROBLEM with inverter not working, the power board differs from a letter and a connexion is missing) I'm sure there are a lot of posssibilities to swap boards with others models, at your own risk of course !

Thanks, man. What's the best way to determine if my TV's LED backlights are burnt out? My screen is completely black - no flicker, no gray bars, and failed the flashlight test (I think I did this right). There is no sound and I cannot pull up the main menu. LG LED TV Model# 50LB6300-US 1. Red stand-by light (solid and flashing, but not sure which is which) 2. No Sound 3. Tried all the troubleshooting methods (including reset, unplug for 60 seconds, changed outlets, changed remote batteries, attempted to change sources, etc) Is the next step to order a new motherboard?
