Who's getting an 8K TV this year?
@John-tg9qv

Would definitely get one if you could use two HDMI ports for Multi-View. I believe this feature was announced for their new Micro OLED TVs… but any idea when this feature might make it to their core offerings? I’ve been holding out on a new TV for over a year now hoping for one that can use two HDMI ports.

Hey Abt, How’s blooming on this TV? Cause it sounds like this is an issue in QN90B so I’m wondering if QN800B has the same issue? Thanks for for your response.

Got one after your review and regret now buying Samsung . Many issues in brand new TV like video and audio shattering and apps like netflix, Amazon prime video and KZbin won’t be working often . Retuning it with the replacement of Sony x95k paying 600€ extra.

@@cjay4659 So, you had Qn800B 8K right? And you returned it in order to buy Sony X95K? Can I ask what was the issue that you experienced with Qn800B? I am also between Qn800B and Sony X95K

i returned last year's version of this TV ( the QN800A ) for 2 reasons: 1 - it got bent in installation due to being too thin. 2 - it had a flicker that looked like waves rolling up from the bottom of the screen - very minor but i could see it when close to the screen using it as PC monitor. i didn't feel like trying a 2nd unit because i chalked the issues up to it being 1st generation mini LED, but i would try this 2nd generation in case my problems were fixed. others also experienced dirty screen effect and white dot grid with the QN800A and although mine didn't have those issues i would be checking for those as well withQN800B. overall if you can get a unit without issues these TVs look great, although they do throw crazy rainbow reflections if there is a bright light somewhere in the room even if it's not directly opposite of the TV but off to the side. that's the one potential deal breaker with these as every single unit will have that - just have to try it in your room. the new QD-OLED doesn't come bigger than 65" and regular OLED is now outdated technology with it's dim, washed out WRGB colors. so basically some compromise will have to be made one way or the other.

Lmao, don't know what OLED you've been looking at with "dim washed out colors", I have an old LG-C7 with no burn in that's shows phonemenal, bright, rich with contrast that still blows away mini-Leds with it's infinite black levels, and my A95K, and S95B are plenty bright, calibrated, and blow everything else out of the water in picture quality...

@@ttacx - These issues are legitimate problems. OP's not just being picky. I got a QN800B and had the same problems he described. The panel is too thin making it easy to bend when moving it with the heavy stand attached to it, and my unit had a grid pattern on the screen from the LEDs that was immediately noticeable anytime anything white or blue was being displayed (blue was the worst), and it's very distracting. Rtings had the same grid pattern showing through on their gray screen uniformity test on the QN900B and they specifically mentioned it as being a problem. I sent mine back too. You shouldn't have to look at grid lines on your TV when watching actual content. My Q70R doesn't have this issue and it's not something we should accept as "normal."

What is the VRR range? 60 - 144hz? 100 - 120hz? Does it also turn off HDR and local dimming like the Z9K does?

I had to return the 75" QN9DA Costco model due to the anti glare rainbow which was the deal breaker for me. Does QN800B has the same anti glare rainbow issue??

9 years ago when I bought my flat-screen streaming wasn't a thing. My old TV seems to have issues with the new wifi6 from spectrum. I understand that it is backwards compatible with wifi5 (new 4k tv) but is their an advantage to having a wifi6 (8k) for streaming?

So I am a long time Samsung user. Read alot about micro led. But can't seem decide which direction to go with all the different reviews. Can you give me some direction as to which models within Samsung to look at for a 75" tv?
@abtelectronics
@abtelectronics Жыл бұрын
@kevinireland7058 The QN85B series is going to be a great option for a lot of people, and it saves you some money. The QN90B series allows you to use an app on your phone to get a more professional calibration. The 85B has this feature as well, but it's not as thorough of a calibration so the results aren't quite as good. The 90 also has a better audio system built in which is good if you don't plan on adding an external surround system or high end soundbar. And if you use an antenna to tune in channels, the 90 has an ATSC 3.0 tuner to get over the air 4K broadcasts, while the 85 does not. Here is a link we did comparing the two TVs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKeqo4yMpNJkg7s The 8K models are also extremely good, but we don't find the difference in picture quality to be worth the cost currently.

@abtelectronics

@biggiss5577 The QN900B has better motion handling and it's calibrated better from the factory, so you may notice a slight difference in the picture quality, but the 800B is not far off.

The Camera was pretty bad in this video. Didn't do the TV any favors. It was way too bright at all times. Highlights blown out and the room itself washed out. In one scene the blacks were so lifted it all looked like blooming, but then you see the Earth in the scene was totally blown out in highlights. Way too high ISO so made the TV look like crap in that scene.

BEWARE, I purchased a Samsung Neo QN800B a 8k TV. The "slim one connect" bow blew out in less than 2 full days of operation. After the TV went black suddenly, I could hear the relay "clicking" however not powering up the screen. These TV sets run hot and I suspect the soldering from the power supply on the motherboard is shoddy. Avoid Samsung products at all cost. I am returning my $3500.00 TV back to "Best Buy" ASAP for a full refund.
