@LambdaMiscellaneous Flip Z3 user here, this isn't a thing- I have had my phone for over a year and have dropped many times, it still works and looks like new, albeit with some scratches. You definitely can NOT scratch the screen with just your fingernails, not unless you are using acrylics and are putting all your strength into it, but even then, I still severely doubt it would scratch the phone.

I have a samsung fold myself! Being able to multitask is useful, especially when I'm doing something that involves a lot of waiting. I can do the split screen on the single front screen of the fold too, it's just things get a bit smaller than I like. Let's you chose to make one side take up more of the screen than the other too!

@@aquaponieee It's not really that simple It's going to overheat even in Android, if, say, GTA IV was ported to it As for the system itself, running Windows ARM is going to heat CPU literally as much as Android does Android and iOS do only appear not so demanding because of the fact that you can't really run anything powerful enough to utilise the excess of power in mobile phones Mobile games and even benchmarks ain't doing it anymore, even Gensshin Impact has been successfully DESTROYED as a benchmark *like 4 years ago* You could literally play GPU bencmarks in over 30 FPS if they were games these days And even Snapdragon 8 gen 2 is potentially capable of running GTA 5 in close to 60 FPS, if done right Windows 11 ARM does only overheat the phone because it's NOT MEANT to be on a smartphone, and therefore it's not optimised for it And you can literally adjust the interface scale on it, and be pretty much comfortable with it It's not gonna be hard to use it with touchscreen really So you're wrong PC and MOBILE devices are going to merge soon, and it's inevitable Which means running x64 compatibility layer on a smartphone ain't gonna be an issue in the near future, for the Android, at least And yes, MediaTek even took it as far as adding *hardware accelerated RAY TRACING* into Dimensity 9200

Windows simply is designed for PCs, both from an user experience perspective and from a technical perspective, and x64 emulation will only make it worse. operating systems designed for PCs should stay on PCs, operating systems designed for phones should stay on phones, operating systems designed for consoles should stay on consoles, operating systems designed for VR headsets should stay on VR headsets, operating systems designed for servers should stay on servers, operating systems designed for smart fridges should stay on smart fridges, and so on

I had a fold 5 not long ago and it feels nice, but the outside screen is so narrow that you’re literally have to open phone to do whatever and at that point it’s like doing something on iPad mini. Then I tried pixel fold and it was a better experience folded. But I think folding phones will go away in couple years, because it’s really not for everyone it’s very niche product like iPhone mini which was discontinued.

So I work at T-Mobile, in the past year I’ve seen many more people switch to iPhone from Samsung than the other way around (probably an 85/15 ratio). Although most people just stick to what they have and don’t wanna try something new. Surprisingly the 2 most common reasons I’m told for this switch are because their family and friends all use iPhone, and they can’t FaceTime them + get complaints about their green messages. Or they’re elderly and want a phone that’s harder to get viruses on because old people don’t know how to not click on every link that graces their screen
