So I bought this washer in 2016. It has now been 1 year. I bought it based on the positive reviews.After 1 year, I started to get "oil" looking stains on my clothing and noticed the machine was rough and pilling all my clothing. To make this review short, I needed a new drum. Extended warranty covered the drum and repairs which was $800. However, $1200 if I paid for it. Go figure.The tech found it was the bearing and the part around it was giving off the grease. I was told my unit wasn't built right. Next, my addwash door started to leak when I was running the tub clean. Upon further investigation, I noticed the latch on the door was starting to disintegrate. Tech came in and said the seal wasn't placed on the door right and my door was about to fall off. It seems the tub clean produces a lot of water that made its way up. That was another $150 just for the door and not labor so at that point my warranty decided to give me another unit. So, I've had an LG unit, pretty bad. Bought Samsung, pretty bad. Whirlpool, pretty bad. What's left?I bought the washer as it was the biggest drum on the market for a front loader. 5.8My Duvet for my king size bed fit in it.I don't want to re purchase the same model, so I'm forced to buy a smaller unit which will no longer accommodate my duvet.All these companies seem to delete negative reviews and only keep the positive. No one cares about customer service anymore. I had to fight with Samsung to have a Tech come out who knew what they were talking about. That didn't exist so I hired someone with a good rep on my own dime. Seems all washers are crap these days.

The motor wont wear out as its a brushless motor, which will last for 10 years, but what guarentee will they give on the drum bearings and other componments ect,,,,, I have a hotpoint which can be paused on the wash cycle and the door can be opened to add lost items so this is not a new idea,

I don't understand why when I choose cotton setting, it takes my washer over 2 hours? 40 degree settings and only 1 rinse... Your setting here shows 4 rinses and it still is under 2 hours

Dear Alessia, the magnifying glass stands for the "Smart Check" option offered by the machine. To enable this function, you must first download the Samsung Smart Washer app at the PlayStore or the App Store, and install it on a mobile device featuring a camera function. You press & hold the Spin and Options buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter the Smart Check Mode. The washing machine starts the self-diagnosis procedure and display an information code if a problem is detected. Basically helps with troubleshooting by displaying an information code, which will be recognized by the app running on your phone. Useful for troubleshooting. Also has a way of informing you about status of the current wash cycle & when it has ended - in case you are on another floor or far away from your washer. "Delay End" basically delays when the washer will have your clothes ready. You can set the washing machine to finish your wash automatically at a later time, choosing a delay of between 1 Hour to 24 hours. For example if you choose a 2 hour wash cycle at 9:00 AM in the morning and select a delay end of 8 hours, then the cycle will start after 6 hours, that is at 3:00 PM so that your clothes are ready at 5:00 PM when you are back from work. Helps for people with busy schedules who stay alone. Also helps you to plan your washing according to the time of the day - some electrical power companies charge you less if you consume power during off-peak hours when the electrical power load on the city is minimum. This way you can set your washer to wash a 4 hour cycle at 3:00 AM in the morning, so the clothes are ready by the time you wake up at 7:00 AM. Some manufacturers also call this a "Delay Start" option. The concept is the same, I guess. Machine must stay off for the extra time selected and switch on when the cycle duration matches the remaining time left. But there are a few users who say that their machine stays on for the entire duration of delay end that they selected, resulting in unwanted power consumption. Few issues need to be ironed out in this department, I guess. Hope this helps. Cheers !!

+TashaTorch Ok well was that an older model? most of them nowadays use so little water beneath the door level that as soo. as you hit pause the door opens within a second and you can add whatever you like that's why I cannot see thr purpose for this addition but hey I know they will make up anything to get more sales and Samsung is known to constantly come out with new machines to keep more buyers

I have the same problem on ww90k6414qw model. Samsung to replace the door , needs 350 € plus 40 € to install the door. A new washer one cost 620 € .Never again samsung .

totally useless and unnecessary 2nd door. On my 6yr GE top loader if I have to add an item I just lift the cover "machine stops itself" and add item then close the lid "machine starts up again by itself". If I were to ever buy this machine I doubt I would ever use that little door.

@@banzai4me No its silly. My LG Front loaders tub is angled so you can open the whole (only) door. Just like a top-loader. This little door doesn't help if you hear a foreign object rattling around.
