I upgraded to a S24 Plus, still keeping my old S21 which I carry to the streets, as a way to preserve the S24+ - used at my office for online calls and content making, as well as a backup device. After one month with the S24+, it accidentally fell (over the carpet AND with a protection case) and it cracked the protection glass. How on earth is this phone resistant? I contacted @Samsung , which told me: "You'll have to pay the full repair price of $1.200 BRL to fix it since broken displays are not covered by warranty" However, Samsung can't explain why my old 21 - which I'm using right now - already fell so many times that I lost count and still got no visible damage after 3 years. I know that stuff happens... But c'mon, Samsung. Can't you at least show that you care for a loyal customer who has been using your Galaxy S products for many years? With the exception of live translate, most of those features are coming to other Samsung phones. None of this satisfies a price increase. The Samsung s24 ultra is more expensive than the iPhone now. I think it's better to swap the 10MP 10x zoom camera to a 50MP 6-7x zoom camera. I'm sure it is the best of both worlds, since the 6-7x zoom range is well-covered while being able to do 12MP crop to 12-14x. Also, the 100x zoom on S24 Ultra seems to have suffered compared to the S23 Ultra.

I would've liked to see a more substantial change in the design and maybe a 4k screen and a better battery upgrade, but thats asking for too much in 2024. Its still a commendable update. 30% faster GPU, 20% faster CPU, 41% faster AI processing. 2600 nits screen brightness (substantial upgrade). Also decent camera upgrades. Also titanium body and a much stronger screen display with a 75% reduction in reflection. It's not enough to make me upgrade from the S22 Ultra, but we will see what the S25 or S26 brings..

im on the s22 ultra now and this is definitely an upgrade. i already pre ordered. youll get $650 discount if you trade in the S22, every year that will just get lower and lower. i only paid $570 total for pre ordering, trading in my s22 ultra, and also got bud 2 pro and charger with the $150 pre order credit and upgraded to 512gb storage on the s24 ultra. cant go wrong
