Why am I only seeing this in 2024... Sounds fricking good. Whoever arranged the vocals here is a musical genius!!!

This medley is pure ART! When you listen to his entire album, then listen to the medley? Your mind just blows. Samthing Soweto is a musical genius! He's been quiet for a minute but I'm praying he's got samthing (😏) cooking behind the scenes🙌🏾🔥❤️

Since for ages Africans have gone through so much without therapy I believe God put music in us as a form of therapy and that is why it sounds so spiritual and beautiful because it's from the soul.

South Africa is like a single instrument with so many amazing independent parts- and we play best when we play together. Everyone just praises, parties, and protests with rhythm. It's life. (I've commented on your clips before, so apologies if I do this again. I keep returning to these clips when I'm burning the midnight oil.)

I can never explain the joy South Africans have over music, we grow up through it, its just beautiful and inspiring

African voices are so beautiful! And the joy of these people is infectious. I found the lyrics in Zulu and google translated them to English. They are love songs, like: with you I won the Lotto and ‘please call me” (making the telephone gesture).

These are all compilation of Samthing Soweto's songs. So the first one is "Lotto" and the second song is "AmaDM" and the third song is "Akulaleki". I recommend listening to all of the original songs just to see how creative they were to turn it into choral music. All 3 songs are sung in (contemporary) isiZulu language. Samthing Soweto is well known for singing with a few choirs and was actually started out in an acapella group called "The Soil" which also released amazing South African hits.

4:47 Absolutely correct. You do not need need to restrict yourself when it comes to music. I always say that I listen to anything in any language as long as the sound and instruments are arranged well - your new sub here in South Africa. Btw, I have not heard this song before it was suggested for me through your channel. Thank you and keep the gospel moving 😉
