There is nothing we can't do as South Africans. Even though those palm coloured people are still actively trying to snub our light, we still prosper. Everything we touch we turn to gold. I'd like to add to your list of songs to check out "Mayenzeke (Live at Potter's House, Dallas, Texas, 2017) by Joyous Celebration".

Pioneers to doing it like this is a clap and tap, 70s to date gospel group, Barorsi ba Morena. However, some trace this music to early 1900s. Very common in black communities even now.

He started the Soil. He is the architect. His story is actually devastating. He picked up the style while he was serving time in prison for burglary. He started the group as soon as he got out. I believe there was a disagreement about the recording deal so they proceeded without him. He talks about how painful it was to see them succeed without him. Then Akanamali happened then the dawn of Amapiano, his album isiphithiphithi sealed the deal. This man is an artiste!!!! I’ve been a fan forever.
