I know this isn’t the meaning at all But imagine if we was a great musician who was so passionate about his art who then suddenly became deaf. Still hearing the sounds in his head regardless of what is being played. And destroying the violin was him being upset he can no longer hear it.

@@lettuce6590 I believe the previous commenter was going for the more artistic sense, rather than literal. An artist conveys massages wrapped in a poetic or sensory delivery system. The violin is the symbol for his heart. As the heart sorts and conveys feelings, the violin was the audible sense conveying sadness. This sadness eventually breaks his heart, aka the violin. The blood on it was to grab the viewers attention that there was a message conveyed. That sadness can break a heart. The blood also symbolizes a breakthrough from the artistic message to reality and the realness of the message.

I love how it sounds like the violin is suffering with him. You can see it deteriorate as he pressed harder and harder, and at a certain point it almost sounds like the instrument is crying out. They are one in the same, both breaking down. The pure emotion from the sound is striking and inspiring. Truly amazing.

Music, playing and acting are just great. This is a very touching peace of art because it is so authentic (I'm not talking about realism). It is about loss, desperation, fear and anger. The protagonist obviously is facing a catastrophe why he is so upset. And in his rage he destroys the only thing he still holds dear, the only thing he still loves with passion. And with this captivating, stunning and deeply depressing love he destroys something that has made up a huge, tremendously important part of his life. He doesn't really mean to. It just happens. He lets go, he does no longer control anything. His fear and sorrow merge with the tender sympathy he feels for the violin. Und thus he kills it. When he becomes aware of what he just did, he is shocked, can't believe that he has been capable of committing such a crime against his greatest passion and thus against himself. He has just killed a vivid part of his own being he will never able to replace. Just an interpretation.

I feel like my heart is being ripped out of my chest while listening to this. In addition the video makes it more painful because it adds up to the feeling of "breaking down". It's like the player's sorrow is so deep that even the violin itself isn't able to contain his emotions or even communicate them to the world. 😢 The violin is literally breaking down due to the input of emotion! This is how pain looks like... This is how one ends up harming his body because of emotional pain. There is no violin to take the pain in many cases. Sorrow keeps building up to the point the "medium" simply can't take it all away.

I agree, it's very emotional. I think my interpretation of this was that his violin was already broken/ruined/weak and instead of protecting it by never using it again, he plays this final piece, even though he's destroying it more by doing so, like a dramatic final act in a play.

I can identity with what this violinist was feeling. There are moments when you’re so discouraged and angry at the violin that you just want to stop, but I usually find that is when I need to pick it up the most. I need a reminder of the reason why I play. Without it, I’d be so confused and alone; it gives me a way to express my emotions in beautiful, clear sound.

I feel like this song represents a person who has felt some type of emotional pain, therefore, they push themselves in order to fulfill some type of hole in their heart. The violin represents the heart as it breaks down to pieces in a visual representation of that emotional pain partnered with self-torment. While, in the end, they might’ve achieved their goal but have completely broken themselves in the process.

the meaning of this is actually very deep, he maybe lost someone who he loved the most and maybe loved playing violin for her but then now that she is gone he writes a score which kills the violin, he has lost his charm of playing that instrument. Something like that The violin bleeds.....

He was a man that played his whole life, from the age of 5. He had practiced 10-14 hours a day, honing his craft hoping one day; that one day he could bring the beauty of his instrument to life, sharing that beauty with those around him. He trained classically, under strict tutelage for many years. He performed at every venue, on every stage until his fingers were sore and his hands were numb. He went on competitions facing the best of the best until he became so accomplished none could detest his skill, talent and determination. Until one day, he was alone practicing as always for an upcoming orchestral performance, where he was the lead. He played and played and played, but every time he did so, no sound came from his instrument. He kept playing till the horse hairs of his bow, snapped. Played and played until the strings of his violin gave in. Played and played until he could no longer hear the music, but merely imagine it. Played and played until he dug so deep into his violin he could only feel the bow sawing his instrument. This was the death of a violin.

I’m writing a book inspired by this video (that I hope to make a movie someday) and it’s called “Violin: The Last Note”. It follows the life of a young violinist man named Eagan O’Neil who meets a beautiful girl called Agenilda Hart that later (major spoilers below, only tap read more if you don’t mind)…. …becomes his wife. Now, she has a rare autoimmune disorder (multiple sclerosis) that she kept secret from Eagan, but then she gets sick suddenly and of course has to disclose her issues to her husband. Within a few weeks though, she gradually gets better, until finally she is healthy again, lasting around 2 weeks. At this point, Eagan has had a special recital to preform for quite a few months prior. But not 3 days before said performance, Agenilda gets a *seemingly* minor cold. The very day of his recital, she is still a bit sick and he just doesn’t want to leave her alone, but his stubborn-willed wife refuses to let him give up his dream just to stay home with her because she’s a “tiny bit” ill. Eagan can’t argue and goes to his recital. Afterwards, just as it had ended, he is brought some devastating news by a college; Agenilda had suddenly passed, sometime during his performance… all alone. This video would be like the day or so after. Btws, something important to know is, besides his wife, his only other “best friend” is his violin… and he destroys it in his utter grief over his love, Agenilda. Also, whenever he plays his violin, everything else for him fades except the notes from his music. This is why he doesn’t realize until it’s too late that he’s killing his “best friend”, because he’s so out of touch with reality due to his anguish. Now, of course there’s much more to the book than that, but I’ve been writing it off and on for almost 3 years and only recently (like, today) been inspired to write in it again. I’m so excited to get my story out to the world! Here’s the text of the 1st page: CHAPTER ONE The Garden and The Girl Eagan O'Neill, a young and passionate violinist, had began on his way down a sun-kissed garden path in the early morning. With him he brought his precious violin. He planned to play it under the garden's serene gazebo. Eagan walked slowly, calmly, taking in the beauty of the landscape as he passed it by. Finally, he arrived at his favorite spot for playing the violin. Quick yet gentle, he whipped out his instrument and started to play. The bow slid across the strings like skates on a frozen pond. Silence broke, turning into beautiful harmony. All but the sound of his notes faded for Eagan. He was in a world of his own, a world filled with symphonies. Every sound he played showed even more spirit than the last. Suddenly, his concentration was shattered by a gorgeous site; a young girl who had caught his eye. Eagan blushed slightly, he was unaware anyone had been listening.

i think this speaks more about *passion* . his love for music transcended beyond the physical connection of the bow touching the strings of his violin that he can *hear* the music when he was in the dangling trance, all the while his beloved violin falling into pieces little by little. the blood represents how he lives and breathes through this passion.

The tension in the violin shows how you as a person is telling “you can fight stay alive you can fight” but doesn’t make it in time because you were the main reasons of the death of a violin...

Echoes of footsteps In the hall of marble Fall on deaf ears The last thud thunders Then it is just silence Louder and louder Closer and closer As the heart starts to race Embrace your bow As your main weapon Close your eyes and aim At the heart of the strings That carry the weight Of your soul torn apart As the wind vibrates To cool down your hot cheeks Soundwaves brush against And wipe off your tears You can't even hear yourself screaming Always feeling a shadow that doesn't belong to you Whispering to give up hope Tickling your ears with thoughts That are not meant to be spoken Forcing you to draw all your hate From the darkness of your well But you keep on playing As fast as you can The rosin is running out Abrading the rosin till it runs out The strings fall apart one by one Relinquishing the same blood Which flows through your veins Leaving you helpless With nothing but emptiness

But one can only stop and think "Does it even matter?" so many times We try to make sense of life We fall and we rise again and again How much more can we take Is this all in our heads We wrap our wounds and try to march on We'll live We'll survive No shoulder to cry on Can't tell them how you feel because you'll just get in the way of their own fight And you can't help them either You go through each day and night You try to stop the pain Sometimes with the same fire You fight one with the other although there both the same And you know this You know it won't help So you give up Because ... Everyone leaves eventually Everyone leaves. Even yourself So why wait So you try. And you fail Again And you fail 15 times you've failed You stay. You stay because you can't leave You stay because you aren't as lucky as the rest. So you'll stay. And you'll help. And you'll watch them all leave They float away like balloons and sink like stones And you? Can only watch. Only exist Only feel Can't do anything about it. .... At least they lived the best that could be done. They couldn't handle it anymore You did your best... Now you wait for another one..... Just wait until they leave too... Taking up all these names Faces Memories You remember them all And they'll always stick. Not one being replaced. Each in youre mind. .... But you're never to be in theirs. Which is fine. You were just seasonal anyways.... They'll leave. And you'll get left behind...

This left me in tears.... Please, can I use the sound track, I'm currently working on a short movie, after a story I wrote about a girl who is hearing violin music in her head... And is there a scene, where she is blankly staring in the steam of a tea cup, while the filing music starts slow at first, then becomes more and more louder, the actress won't have any lines... But she haves to express extremely strong and overwhelming emotions..... She will be breathing with the tempo of the music, and she will burst Into tears, shaking.... I couldn't found any melody to fit the scene, it haves to be a powerful song, witch could make the audience cry.... And understand her feelings of despair.... This fits so well

To me this feels like someone slowly slipping into and succumbing to something like alzheimer's or dementia, slowly forgetting everything. Their mind slowly disintegrating (like the violin) and the only thing they can hold onto, the only memories they have left, are those of the music, of the time and effort they put into learning and mastering their craft, only to have it slowly be ripped away from them. Truly, a sad thought, one that is a reality for many unfortunate souls.

I think it represents the fear of going deaf and not being able to feel the music the same way again like Beethoven. Going to a place with the excellent acoustics, playing the violin with his eyes closed while it breaks apart hearing the music in his head remembering the notes like it was still playing, the emotional feeling of loss. My interpretation of this is music is the harmony of life, if you're not around to hear it then it must be over. "The death of a 🎻"

I feel like my instrument is alive now. This is heart breaking. I don't want to see my viola die! I want to treat it better now. I want to stop neglecting it, I want to practice everyday and make the most of it. Instruments are beautiful things, that create grand and beautiful sounds nothing else can create. To think, that an instrument can be hurt in anyways is heartbreaking, and it was so sad seeing this violin die. I want to treat my instrument better, and clean it everyday, to change strings when I should (every 6 months), to loosen my bow enough after I'm done, to never put to much or too little rosin, to never drop my instrument, to never mistreat it in anyway.

In my perspective, this is more like a psychological horror. The violin is actually his companion, with whom he had an argument (or divorce maybe)-the beginning shout and tears can prove this. Then, during the argument, which is the man playing the violin, is gentle at first but soon escalated into breaking the violin, which stands for the argument becoming a violence. The final scene, the violin breaking down and the bow has blood on it, therefore means the death of the unshown person.
@natedowney3300
@natedowney3300 6 жыл бұрын
SuperFashi I like the idea it makes sense but what you don’t realize is that violin is his partner, when you play your violin and get used to it it’s like it the only one you’ll ever get used to. But when you lose t or break it it’s just a funeral cause you will never find the exact same one again.

I get the feeling that when a musician plays they become one with their instrument, or at least they are trying to have a conversation with their instrument. Whether that conversation is sad or happy or ugly, the smashing of the instrument feels like the ultimate betrayal.
