he ain't lyin. i was fortunate enough to be Mr. Mac's chauffeur at the "king's of comedy" tour in hampton va. i NEVER met a better person, humble, gracious, quiet... i took him to a shop in the hood to get a manicure and he stayed in there til everybody left. people kept coming in and you couldn't even see him. (i had to sit in the car, nature of the job.) when he got in the car, he was SPENT, drenched from sweat and literally worn out. i was so excited just to be NEAR him. damn, i miss him!

yeah, i was totally bummed to hear about his passing. i remember him drinking nothing but bottled water. took him to a 5 star restaurant. we saw an accident, the car was on its roof.. surreal moments, simplicity of life and the fragility of it. his passing along with my wife's both taught me to LIVE! got a passport and left the country for the first time about 4 years ago. i "suggest" (never tell) for ALL to visit the earth, as gil scott said, it's yours..

Just like there was only one Redd Foxx and one Richard Pryor, there never gonna be a comedian with the same tenacity and spill as Bernie Mac, He was naturally funny and never had to try. In every movie he was in, He was the shit...And well, yall seen his stand up´s, they speak for themselves... Just finished watching Soul Men, the chemestry beween Samuel & Bernie is fucking priceless. One of the funniest films in decades, R.I.P to Isaac Hayes aswell, that scene where they walked out the room and Bernie said to Isaac "After you young man..." Was a trip, considering that they died the same weekend. Truly a giant loss to both music & comedy. Much love to everybody who appriciated his work. These legends are truly missed. But their work will live on for eternity. And they inspired so many young brothas to do what they do, if i can accomplish 5% of what these brothas did in their life, I´ll die happy.

I don't know about Samuel introduction. Dude introduced him like they were at an award ceremony. But anyway. I miss Bernie so much. He made me laugh when I thought laughter was impossible. When Kings of Comedy came out. I was at odds with one of my favorite cousins. We hadn't talked for a few years. I offered her an Olive Branch and asked her to go to see Kings of Comedy with me, knowing Bernie Mac was her favorite comedienne. That was one quiet long ride to the movie theater. Wasn't that much talking in line either. As Steve came out, gave his jokes you could feel the ice break between us. By the time Cedric came out we were chuckling at the same time. When Bernie Mac came out. We were Back. Laughing so hard. We had a great time. Kings of Comedy got us back together. With all that laughter nobody cared anymore who did what.. Who said what. We were just happy. Thank you Kings. . I miss you Bernie Mac.. You sure wasn't scared of them muthafu**s
