After Ragnar was murdered Ivar really went totally bonkers lost all humanity, he was truly psychotic but deep down was still just a scared little boy missing his father and his fathers guidance.. the beast was unleashed when he no longer had a leash after ragnar... I LOVE Ivar! I really hate how it ended for him. He beside Bjorn was most like Ragnor and it sucked because he grew to truly hate Lagertha for killing his mother. She was my absolute favorite character on the show. Beautiful, fierce, fearless and will take your head like a man on the field of battle. This show is definitely one I wish I could experience for the first time all over again. When the Valkyries came to take Lagertha to Valhalla I felt like no one deserved it more! I adored this show and did not want it to end.

I Liked Lagerthas charachter a lot right up until she shoots Asluag in the back. That and everything past that point felt like charachter assassination against her. She whent from being a powerful Woman to a distant Mary sue charachter who behaves completely illogicaly and two dimensionally. She no longer felt human or real. And see a very short old woman taking down hoardes of large men was almost as immersion breaking as a Cripple who can't even walk doing the same. But atleast Ivar got interesting charachter development despite how ridiculous they made him. It felt to me like they didn't know what to do with Lagertha anymore. Same with Aslaug, her charachter never whent anywhere interesting after her initial arch. Post Ragnars death but even a few seasons before the writing really started to drop.

It was like we had to watch a woman who knew exactly who she was lose her self all because they couldn't find the storyline to center around her outside of Ragnor. Honestly my BIGGEST disappointment, if I had to name it was how short lived Bjorn reign was. He deserved a way better storyline in my opinion. I have no complaints on Ivar's character development to be honest. Well I wish his character would've been born with stronger legs. Lol but I still adore the show.

We did find out, he was Magnus in the show. But, they never really had a child, ragnar didn't sleep with her. He told lagertha also the same thing he told his wife Auslaug, he did not need to lie to her about it as he was no longer with her so I believe that magnus was a liar and a trickster. But looking back now I see why Queen Kwentrith did what she did, if she said her son was one of ragnars sons he would be assured a life easier than the harsh ones she grew up in, as he would be favoured as so, so it was less likely people would attack or dislike the child, for who would want to harm the son of the most famous man in the northern world? Great show. So cleverly done.

I wish for that scene that he looked back a final time and Katja looked different (as in literally a different actress) because the doppelganger thing, while cool, didn't make much sense. Because only Ivar could see her like that? Hvitserk didn't think she looked like Freydis, but Ivar and obviously we the audience knew she was the same. I would have liked to think it was all in Ivar's head and he imagined her to look like Freydis and then as he's leaving he realised she's not.

Yeah the writer confirmed that he only imagined her as freydis and that they in fact looked nothing alike, so wtf. Why does she still look like her in scenes when she is alone and ivar isn’t present? The writing was bad in the last two seasons. Would’ve made more sense to have him reject and eventually sleep with freydis in season five and have his own kid then. They dragged it for so long and he only got to do it one time which was not really a good pay off.

The last season for me was such a struggle. I loved the dopamine of their exploits, so seeing their flaws, downfall and demise weighed heavily on me. Like sons of anarchy though; this show gave me such a strong feeling of relief at the end. Its one that i always replay, but can never finish. I still love the final seasons, but I avoid the conflict and raw nature.

Shes so beautiful. Just gorgeous. I dont think women understand how a good man will treat them. I rubbed my wifes feet, gave her back massages, cooked for her when I was at home,and bought her flowers once a week. When i was working 70 hours a week, she cheated on me. Yeah. Now she's SUPER happy with a guy who is 5'4" (Im 6'4"), makes half what i do, she has to work, they have a house smaller than the one i have for myself. She got my daughters because, shes a MOM and they thought it would be better for the girls if they lived with her.... They are miserable. Gotta love the American child custody model. Now, the ONLY person happy in the situation is her new husband. Good job, !!

After Ragnar, Ivar is my favourite character in the series also I think Ivar is the most well written character but the ending they gave him sucks, I mean he was winning the battle & suddenly he started to lose & how the most feared man in the world can let a rookie stab him multiple times.. but hands down Vikings is the best show I’ve ever watched on Netflix. I think the best part of Magnus was they made you feel what everyone around Magnus felt without you realizing. You were excited to see how Ragnar would react to Magnus. You were excited to see Magnus’s life. How great he’d be. He is after all, a son of Ragnar. But then the reveal and you deep down just go “damn, anyway.” And don’t care for Magnus.
