I had a fair idea of what I wanted to achieve before I even set out (in terms of the overall layout as well as features I wanted to include etc...) This was the 7th exhibition layout in as many summers, so I was already familiar with the paramaters I was working within, such as size of the space and amount of track at my disposal. In the end, I seem to remember it took me little over a day to build the whole thing on my own.

Hi, thank you for your comment. No, at present the expo is no longer running and 2019 was the 7th and last instalment. COVID and a combination of adverse circumstances have so far stopped me from having anymore. You wouldn't have found a website, as the expo was held for 7 consecutive years during a single weekend in August, in a small village in Northern Moravia. I still own the colllection though, so there is always a chance that #8 may yet take place one day...

@@samueljaros Oh? So its not a "real" expo but rather just a huge layout at your home? If yes that sounds really cool actually but I believe I wouldnt be able to see it other then here on KZbin

@@ronthunderr9754 No, it wasn't exactly a "huge layout in my home", but a very local expo in my in-laws' village. The local council had let me use this old school building for free for filming a number of layouts. In return, for 7 consecutive years for one weekend in August, I organized an expo with free entry for the locals, which as expected, proved to be very popular with them.

I’m really not a fan of the tender driven engines, they’re such a design flaw and makes the train much more prone to derailment.

This is really cool! When I was a tiny baby, my two older brothers had some Tomy trains and sets, but I'm sad that Mattel or Fisher price has gotten rid of Tomy

I bought mine a long time ago on ebay UK, like most of the rest of the Thomas collection. I think they can still be found there, although at probably a higher price than when I got my nes.

Thank you my dear friend, yes it is probably the biggest ever, although for some reason (probably increased complexity, I could only fit 21 trains - slightly less than my average Plarail Expo Layout !

Alas no, that was one of the problems: there was a last minute change in the village summer schedule of festivals. But I can't complain, I was just glad to be able to do it at all, and those that were able to attend enjoyed it greatly as usual ! As to the building, it is still up for sale as far as I know...

Definitely an oversight, as the untertaking that consists in buliding the layout, holding the exhibition, doing all the filming, then dismantling and putting everything away still has to be carried out in a limited amount of time. Thank you and well done for spotting it though !

Mmmm... I was under the impression these are Plarail Thomas... well, they are a mixture of Plarail and the very similar first generation Trackmaster (not the more recent so-called "Revolution" Trackmaster. Thank you for your comment anyway.

Indeed. As mentionned in another comment, there have been a number of Thomas trains new relases by Plarail, but thet do have to be ordered from Japan / Asia if you don't live there.
