Joe Marshall is San Diego's Samurai "Dirty Harry"; now, that would make for a good crossover. No offense to those "Japanese masters", but Harry Callahan would've been a better mentor: he would've made Joe into the kind of bulldog cop he himself wasn't allowed to be back in the 70's.

Wow, this is arguably one of the GREATEST and most entertaining BAD movies ever made. It is definitely in my top 5 and hope you both get a lot of enjoyment from it. If y'all want a list of a few other all-time "B movies", just let me know.

If you guys want a little more insight as to why and how this movie is the way it is, there is a good interview of Matt Hannon who played the samurai cop conducted by a few of the guys from Red Letter Media. It's from ten years ago but its definitely worth checking out if you've got the time.

From what I read the director took it completely seriously and yes he was the one who edited the movie and recorded the voices. Also I'm surprised Formal never heard of Samurai Cop despite being a connoisseur of bad movies. It's in the pantheon of Great Bad movies.

It's odd that "Samuri Cop," is being "discovered," because I have watched this movie at least 500 times. The only caveat is that I have never watched it once without a Joe Bob Briggs comedy commentary track.

Some of the GOAT bad movies are the room, Miami connection and troll 2. All rewatchable. The room has the most boring storyline of all time ON PAPER. The execution is bar shit and it's just one of the most fascinatingly bad movies. Highly recommend the room, it's sort of on top of the mountain but it's not like any other bad movie, there's tons of bad action movies, the room is a drama but you only need to watch a few seconds to know it's something special in a weird way. Ill be at work and a random scene from the room will pop into my head and ill just be trying to brainstorm why they did any of what they did and what was the purpose (underwear conversation in the alley) Miami connection is pretty slept on, it's an amazing bad movie and it has a lot of charm. One of the most unexpectedly intense and funny endings. Troll 2 is just bizarre, it feels like a normal movie at times but then you think about what's happening for a few seconds and are just scratching your head as to what they were thinking when making/writing the movie lmao. Can't go wrong with any of them, Miami connection might be the best to get into it all with but the room is still an alien of a movie
