Since I am a Dune nerd, I will share some context <3 I want to draw your attention to a few points that will help you better understand... 1) Jessica never ever cheated Leto; Alia is his daughter. 2) Paul is not the Chosen One. Jessica made him the Chosen One. The boy was not meant to be the Messiah. 3) about Bene Gessirit lore and the Voice: Imagine the Bene Gessirit as Jedis without the pew pew. You may not be aware of this yet, but the Dune universe is devoid of robots, artificial intelligence, and machines due to Butlerian Jihad, which was a conflict against sentient machines. Despite being disparagingly referred to as "witches" in the Dune universe, the Bene Gessirit are not magical creatures. Since they preserve the DNA and ancestry of different noble houses and only make female children, the Bene Gessirit are sisterhoods or, in essence, nuns who do not take the vow of virginity. "Make"-why did I say that? The reason I said "make" is that they manipulate with gender. A lot of things are manipulated by them. For example, The Voice is a manipulation rather than a natural talent or gift. Anyone could possibly learn and practice this skill; anyone could potentially perform The Voice. They investigated and magnified the still-mysterious areas of the brain because machines were prohibited. It is merely an amplification. Likewise, Mentats are human computers and calculators. Theoretically, the Voice functions similarly to the Force. At first, the Force was meant to be rare and the prerequisite for becoming a Jedi. However, the superpower element of The Force has recently been removed from various Star Wars media, such as the Ashoka series, making it identical to The Voice in that "anyone can potentially have it." And regarding the shield. I think it's worth to mention this: it is merely a tool to shield you from blades; it is not a Force field, even though it looks like it. 4) In Dune's universe there is only the human race. No other extraterrestrial species. 5) Lastly, Dune was first published in 1965, long before the first Star Wars film, which was influenced by Dune among other things. The Game of Thrones book series is another work that draws inspiration from Dune.

The casting is fantastic in this film and messes with your preconception if you’re familiar with the main 2 actors. Ray Winston (Gal) normally plays the hard man; the man you don’t mess with, so it’s interesting to see him so meek. Ben Kinsgley (Don) was mainly known for his for playing Ghandi, so this role was a huge departure and he nailed it.

Tony nods politely when Matt talks about breaking his dick off in the ass of the stripper, but he just looks at Matt, like 'what am I supposed to say to that?'.

Awesome reaction my dudes but imma need that part 2 reaction like….NOW PLEASE!😅 But in all seriousness tho, I hope you guys will be doing that one sooner rather than later cause it’s basically just (duh 😉) 2 parts to one whole and pretty much plays like 1 long movie! An absolutely amazing one at that imo😘👌

All the following to say "no, you couldn't use the Voice on a worm": The Voice is shown as like "the force" in this adaptation, but it's really just a way of manipulating a person's psyche based on various factors, mainly to do with appealing to their culture and life experience. Ultra simplified version being like, you recognise someone was in the army so you bark an instruction like a drill instructor, and they feel compelled to do it for a second. Just take that and add a hundred other details, and an extreme control over your voice. It's an extremely talented skill that only a highly intelligent and perceptive people can pull off, IF they've been trained how (and even that is secret knowledge among the Bene Gesserit, most people don't even know it exists); it's not a magical power.

“So he’s a Jedi?” 😬🤦♀️😮💨 watch out now, some people get mad at that! Tho…as a Dune fan Books & Movies it can be frustrating as Star Wars was based on Dune, not the other way around but I realize that for most people they see &/or have at least some knowledge of Star Wars first 😅
