I just watched the Motonari Mouri cutscenes and thought I heard Vic speaking near the beginning as a random officer seeking Motonari's help. If that was him, then I think he actually sounded better (or more appropriate) there than he does as Mitsuhide here.

Ranmaru is a boy, and was Nobunagas homosexual lover. Because that, Ranmaru was usually considered to be a feminine boy in dramas and games.He died with Nobunaga,only 17 years old. In Sengoku period homosexual was common in high class samurai.. Many daimyo (powerful samurai) assigned young samurai to served as a pageboy and lover.When those boys grow up, they would be trustworthy subordinates. Famous lovers are Odanobunaga and Mori Ranmaru, Takeda Shinken and Kosaka Masanobu.
