Hello Tiago, I am a fan of your work. What frame (type and size) do you use for your 4 X 76mm rocketed setup? I know you have a smaller skate, if I get the size 41 or 42 HC Evo, what 4 wheel setup would you recommend? I feel 3 wheel 225 frame is too short for me if I like Urban skating. Looking forward seeing your reply or any reply really.

Stan from Melbourne Hi! for these skates I'm using the Pro-R frames in 231mm that I left in their rockered position; and for the wheels; I don't know, depends on your likings; do you like hard wheels? mediums, softs? I personally like medium and hard wheels since I like to slide a bit. for the moment I'm using the Seba street invaders, but I'm thinking on getting some Undercover wheels :)

Awesome, these are in my wishlist and got a little worried when I saw your headline, thinking that you replaced them with something else. Feedback on the video 1) I would say no to the backdrop. Some random out of focus appartment interior gives more deapth to the video. 2) light is too in your face. Thry googling 3-point lighting - you can do this with home items. The ending is COOL, music and everything.

I've been eyeing these skates for a long time, but I've been worried about this exact thing happening to me and blowing a bunch of money. Good skates aren't cheap, and with everything closed and not being able to try them on before buying them, it adds an extra level of uncertainty. This video was just what I needed to confirm that I am also a 42 EU. I'm definitely more confident in my decision now. Thanks man.

Thanks for the video, man. I ordered these in size 42 and, although they fit great around my foot and toes, there is a sharp pressure point in my ankle region, more specifically my medial malleolus. Do you think heat molding and spot-specific heat gun treatment would help mold that out, or would you recommend getting the 43? I feel you on the cuff having a lot of padding. Thank you!
@DeezSkates4 жыл бұрын
I would not go up if the fit is right over a pressure point. This sounds to me like you just need to break in the skates. Heat molding may help with this, combined with time in them. Wear thin socks to minimize rubbing.

Great video on the HC Evo sizing! Do you find that you have too much toe room in the 42 on the right, since the 41 was long enough for your right foot? I'm debating between sizes 40 and 41. I think I'm on the border between the two sizes (foot 255mm). If you don't think having a little bit of more room (1 size bigger than a tight fit lengthwise) is too big a problem, I'll probably go with the 41. Thanks.

Hi. I really enjoy your skating content. It's appealing that you use so many styles of skates, and have a question that I think you'll have great insight on. I am a freestyle skater and I want to get more into slalom technique. I skate with powerslide imperial supercruisers 110mm red viper with their original factory setup. I've rockered my wheels for more manuverability but I think it's time to upgrade. Do you recommend a whole other boot for more stability or do you think just changing the frame could be enough? Something tells me that choosing a freeskate boot will change my whole game up. Thanks in advance Emani
@DeezSkates5 жыл бұрын
It really depends on what your current setup is. Sometimes upgrading the frame can help a lot, but with inline skates the boot has a huge bearing on your power transfer. If you’re ready to spend the money and want to upgrade into a Carbon slalom skate I definitely recommend going to something like the Hardcore Evo, Seba High Carbon, Seba iGor, etc.. Plastic skates with liners are always comfortable and if you have the right one you may feel that’s enough, but stiffer carbon boots with the right frame are always going to be more responsive. And personally I’ve had nothing but good experiences with my Evos. They’re very comfortable, in spite of how stiff they are.
@chanich114 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave, I just got mine Evos, I followed the chart, my right foot is 250, so I got eu40 pr 7us which is 257 cm long, I feel my front toe touching the boot but it's not uncomfortable, however the forefoot around toes widthwise feels tight. I am concerned if I go to size 41 of 7.5 which is 164 cm in might have too much room in front, is that an issue? Your thoughts, should I go half size bigger? I am not skating streets yet in order to be able to return skates.
@DeezSkates4 жыл бұрын
It’s hard to say without being there in person, but one thing to keep in mind is that Powerslide notoriously has more narrow skates than other manufacturers, so it’s possible that going a half size up might solve the problem, but if it makes the skate too long that will present its own problems. IMO, you should be open to the possibility that this Skate’s design will not work for the shape of your foot.

This is whats holding me back from expensive skates, just out of curiosity what size shoe do you wear? Im measured 267 mm and wear a 41 in birkenstocks, but 10 in running shoes and 10.5 in regular shoes, most size us 10s are tight! Buying a 7.5 or 8 seems like theres no way lol
@DeezSkates2 ай бұрын
Size numbers are so subjective that they’re essentially useless in skating. I wear a 8.5-9 in shoes… usually. But I have a pair of old Seba FRX that are 10.5. A HC Evo that is a 8.5. Rollerblade crossfire that’s a 9. My ice figure skates are an 8 wide.. And in hockey skates in both Bauer and CCM I wear a 7. The answer for sizing is to know your measurements and buy the size that the sizing chart for that exact skate recommends, no matter what the numbered size is. Personally, I’m a bit skeptical that your measurements are correct. My left foot is like 268 and my right is 265 and there is no tennis shoe I could wear above a size 9.
@ryakuss19872 ай бұрын
@DeezSkates Weird, yeah I measured like 4 times now different tape measured up against the wall and not and keep coming g up with the same thing. The birkenstock I figured out that the back of my heal hangs out over the foot bed so that explains that. Guess I'll roll the dice and hope I can return. Pulling the trigger on some FR1 with the intuitions. Their guide says I should get a 42, fingers crossed 🤞

If you’re 267mm that sounds right. I wear a 42 EU size in just about every inline I have ever used. I find EU sizing to be a bit more consistent than American sizing.

Today on the powerslide website the mondo for EU41 is 261mm and for EU42 is 268. I doubt they modified the shell so I believe the info you relied on was incorrect. Also, Helios is made from "compression-molded carbon composite" and not the same carbon as evos. Don't know the difference, Reddit says that it is thinner and more flexible than regular carbon. Anyway, great video!

Hey David , after watching this video, I have a question for you as my Hardcore Evos have just arrived today. I bought them in size EUR 41 and lengthwise they fit well. However they are a bit tight width wise as my feet press into the sides of the skates and my foot has gone a little bit numb a few times. Do you think this is something that can just be fixed with heat moulding or would I have to size up? I’d like to think it will get better after going in the oven. Obviously I want a good snug fit so I’m hesitant about sizing up. Thanks
@DeezSkates5 жыл бұрын
It may help, but there is no guarantee. My philosophy is that if the skate fits for length, but not width, you cannot go up a size to make it fit because it will then be too long. It’s possible the last this skate is created on if very different from your foot. It’s also possible that you can heat mold to solve the problem. You’ll never know until you try.
@barryheath8825 жыл бұрын
Deez Skates hmmm yeah I really hope heat moulding will do the trick. My foot isn’t extremely uncomfortable or in extreme pain when in the boot, but then again I haven’t done a proper session in them. Anyway thanks for you help.

I don’t suppose you know your foot width? I’m considering the Reign Helios, my right foot is 262 by 105 mm, left is 258 by 100 mm, wide forefoot, average heel, very thin leg. So like you I should be a Euro 41. But I have to order online, and Powerslide can fit narrow.
