All basic musical ratios are based off Fibonacci numbers. Music itself is a product of sacred geometry and ratios. 144 is in the octave of 432hz which is mathematically more sound than 440hz. Natural geometry is formed in base 9 like 432hz (4+3+2=9). Watch Robert Edward Grant a polymath expert who can prove 432hz is more sound, and it’s been used for all of human history until 1940. The grand gallery in the great pyramid in Giza is a room tuned to 432hz, it was used for sacred healing purposes. Waters most pleasing frequency is 432 and 90% of your body is water.

The piano already is build as a Fibonacci-sequence: You have 13 keys repeating itself in an octave - grouped in 8 whites - 5 blacks - which are divided in 3 and 2... Simply because the piano is build around the harmony of a major-scale. The list goes on and on with nature, bees, plants, cones, pineapples and even in design: bottles, magazines, paintings, proportion of guitars, microphones, human body, human face...It’s a neverending mindblowing sequence 😊

This sounds so goood. I think this proves that some musicians truly have the fib built into their soul and they just play it naturally that way. Tell me that doesn't sound like so many really hard hitting old timey or even modern folky song with some modernized vocal line. This is incredible. It really exists in every single thing. Even if it doesn't seem so I really believe it's always there.

The sequence that you made sounds natural and happy. Something that you don't hear a lot in modern music. AWESOME VIDEO, bro. I showed to my high school choir and guitar classes. It is also interesting that the first tones expressed when the Fib sequence is applied to the scale are: C,D,E,G,C,A. In solfege: Do, re, mi, sol, Do, la. Or in numbers: 1,2,3,5,1,6. These are the tones of the pentatonic scale, upon which is based much of the folk and tribal music of the world. The subsequent inclusion of F and B draw us back into traditional diatonic harmonies. Also of note is that the sequence ends on B (scale degree 7 or ti), which is the most common harmonic cadential tone, and sets up the V-I cadence that most western music uses.

The golden ratio, which Euclid called the extreme and mean ratio, was the second irrational discovered in the history of math. Square root of two was first. You'd think the Greeks would have also proven Pi was irrational, but they never could get a grip on it, though they had methods for estimating it to a very high degree of accuracy. Pi eluded math for over a thousand years.

@@josejalaeno73 the song Lateralus uses the Fibonacci Sequence, but the alternate playing order of the album known as The Holy Gift, uses spirals inspired by Fibonacci, as all of the track numbers add up to 13, with track 13 coming in the centre of the album instead of the end. The first track of each pairing counts down to 13, then back up after reaching the middle. 6-7 5-8 4-9 13 1-12 2-11 3-10 The flow of the album and the way tracks lead into one another makes so much more sense when played as The Holy Gift.

Here's a Haskell way to generate the sequence: fibonacci :: [ Int ] -> Int -> [ Int ] fibonacci result stopThresh | result == [] = fibonacci [ 0 1 ] stopThresh | tail result > stopThresh = tail result | otherwise = fibonacci result ++ (sum $ take 2 $ reverse result) stopThresh So you start by giving it the arguments [] and the number where you want it to stop. So the fibonacci numbers up to 100 would be: fibonacci [] 100

Very clever! I’m impressed! Your end result gave me Morning Yearning vibes. The Ben Harper song that Ben wrote for Heath Ledger’s baby daughter / son ( lil reference for all of you that are aware of the story of biblical proportions playing out right in front of our eyes, and has been for decades, while many still unaware of ) Heath also directed the video for the song. Again well done, it’s refreshing to see a mind like yours work. I do hope you are aware of the storyline as the world could definitely use someone like you to help right now.

This 16 note pattern is based on the existence of Pisano periods in the Fibonacci sequence. Basically, you are finding the value of all remainders when divided by 8 or n%8 for each term (which repeats endlessly for all values, not just 8). It would be interesting to see what this would sound done with a halftone scale instead with n%12 for each term, in which case you would get a 24 note pattern instead. If you picked 10 notes and only did up to the end of the 8/8 barre, the rhythm and melody would repeat perfectly on the same 20 beat interval as n%10 gives you a Pisano period of 20.

Excellent! When I was trading the Forex .. 1 and 5-minute bars - yep, I'm nuts !! - I used Fibonacci (fractals) all the time. HOWEVER, since I am a musician and emotionally based -- it is NOT a good idea. Emotion cannot rule trading! The pattern also has ALOT to do with the shape of a music concert's - (opening songs back to a ballade and then the long stretch to the end and then hopefully "up further" (the same direction ) up to the encore. Same "shape with a meal - Salad, Main Course and then Desert. Thanks for the demo!!

You've got some great talent, & a new subscriber! (I found you from that Adam Neely video; 5 musicians, one scale, Locrian). I wrote a piece using the fibonaccian sequence years ago. It was all in 3/4. The sequence determined how many bars there were in each section. I went up to 34.
