I keep getting stuck in an cycle of sin. I am putting my own personal “wants” instead of spending time with God. I’d rather watch something on my phone or watch my show, instead of just spending time with God or reading my bible. I am extremely ashamed of myself because while I’m sinning, I keep telling myself “you shouldn’t be doing this right now. You should read your bible”. If I’m being honest, I just wanted to watch one of these videos instead of reading my bible. Because I’ve wasted my time (it’s 2:00 am rn) by messing around with my phone. I am really really struggling right now. Please pray. I am desperately trying to get back on track. 😢❤

I also struggled with the same thing a few months ago. What helped me was eagerly seeking the Lord and being excited to be in His presence. So seek the Lord as you would get excited about watching something on your phone. (Psalm 63:1) Also, to help limit your distractions, try deleting apps on your phone that distract you or limit yourself to only watching one episode of your show a week. These are things that I changed in my life and it has honestly helped a lot with being able to seek God daily and eagerly. (Romans 13:14 as said in the video) I hope this helps. I pray that you are able to welcome Gods presence without distraction and that you are able to find joy with Him. I pray that you have a revelation while on your walk with Jesus and that you are able to share God's love to others. I pray that you equip yourself with God's armor each and every day. In Jesus name, amen. ❤

You are never too far away. The first set is acknowledging that you have sinned and that you are in a cycle. Be honest with God and tell him that you realize that this sin is something you can’t stop. Then ask him to work inside of your heart to flee from the temptation and make your desire to worship him come first before all else and remove any idols you’ve placed before him

I’m a young teen and I realized that even though I’m young and I am often wondering about the plans God has for my life. I always watch videos of people preaching and performing gifts of the spirit like healing and casting out demons, and I always wonder about my future like what job I’d have or what job God is calling me to do. Had a similar experience I was watching a movie once with a Christian antagonist in the 1600s. All the towns people were complaining just because one wild animal made it through the walls. The antagonist prayed to God about what to do and said at the end "I will slay all these beasts, for it is your will" (he somehow had the idea his God-given purpose on earth was to tame wolves) a few days later I was once guilty of this prayer

Thanks sm. My big thing is when i make a plan, convinced that it glorifies God and blesses others and is beneficial for me spiritually and financially and God says no i get mad, i sin and come back. Its been going on for a year and it gets worse l. This time i tried and did apostate i came back but I need to find teuth i need to practice it and stay in it. Not loving the world or my self.ore than God. And understanding that laying my will and kife down for christ as he dis for me is indeed worth it and that he is worthy. I just need help real bad to do it. When I opened YT, what I searched for had completely nothing to do with God, and yet I still found this video. Over the past few days, I have felt distant from God and trying to get back into His word and presence has been hard. This happend to me too, not so long ago, i had erase one of my favorite mobile game just laste years ( as a new beliver) but recently i already download it again, i new the Holy Spirit moved me to erased it last year, yet i was again playing it... but after some thought i felt bad..i thougt to myself "this is exactly the same mechanics just different outfits and arms" this is pointless... what else could i bee doing if i wasn't playing atm?" So i stopped... am.not saying you have to do exactly what i did but to take it to the Lord.

Man man man, was talking to God about this today, I've been stuck, like life has been going on without me and im falling behind, its because of the rock i choose to ignore and because of that i've been having trouble for months and im not happy about it, I've lost my routine of reading the word, praying to God and all that. It hurt so bad when It started because I felt like the Spirit was hurting within me, Jesus has guided by the help of the Holy Spirit to just get me into a better area then what i was in, but im still in the same place I guess its like my mind is changing and growing but not as much spiritually, I know what's holding me up and I have to surrender it to God to get out of this place. I know I do, but man it's been hard to give these things up that God has demanded of me. And like you said letting these things go hurts but on the other side God has joy for us. I've forgotten so much about what Jeremiah 29:11 has said, I forgotten so much of what God can do and who He is I've just looked at the problem looked at the area of my life not getting better and having a fear of not only failure but being left behind and staying in this area and dying in it. It's depressing but God keeps convicting me and helping me get through. Thank you for this analogy (and the end where you said how this video WON'T change our situation like its the exact answer to solve our problem but its more like a motivator and an eye opener, I've thought this way of finding that exact answer and many things I've told God have been mentioned within this video. Father I just pray that I and all those struggling with this to are given the strength and willpower to deny ourselves, to actually work and do what WE are REQUIRED to do to get out of this area of our lifes and get to the side of greatness that the You has planned for us. Fasting and avoid anything and everything that quenches the spirit, and know all it takes is 1 action to slow you down, before u know it you're stuck in the wrong cycle. But even intermittent fasting is the best thing I could suggest, and prayer

Yeah thats hard, a good way to get up early is to set infront of you some sorta thing you want. Maybe a tasty snack, maybe some you time, whatever and tell yourself that if you wake up early, you can have it. A good way to get at laziness is to take a piece of the work at a time. If you have something you rather do instead, use that against your procrastination. Tell yourself you have to complete a small task before you can go back. Like for me i told myself before i could do text i would have to finish a small section. And id do this for every section. Take what usually ends up being the tool for your laziness and turn it against your laziness. But do it in small sections because if you try to conquer a big section all at once you are gonna start dreading and not wanting to do any of it.

It gets me mad because I’m always nervous about things and my sin that I struggle with is reading bad romance books. And it sucks because I like reading but I know I’m reading bad romance for the wrong part of me. I don’t wanna read them but I do at the same time. This is how ive felt the last couple years. Also in this time ive been putting off finding a church, and have felt God has been telling me to start a faith based youtube channel. When praying God whowed me what my problem is and I think this could be other peoples problem which is the Fear of Man. God showed me when i was younger i had very low self esteem and was insecure and felt like i had no value. So i was putting myself in a box, which was based on what i thought other people were thinking of me and giving them control over me. Im coming out of it now and slowly letting go, but i think the Fear of the Lord is the antitode to alot of these cycles

I been dealing whit shame. The other day while i was in my friday christian group, i was sharing something about scripture that i felt in my hearth that i lowkey told something about work salvation or i had a fast thought that i interpretated something as that but i felt the Holy Spirit telling me "no, don't go to that laine"... i did repented but i felt soo terrible, and still today. So i put this in prayer because this is not from the Lord; He has been very paitence whit me, because back when i recently Trusted Jesus, i had an incounter whit him, i didn't knew about this work based vs grace salvation and i was so confusse but i had great sisters that help me too see the grace Jesus gave us not by works but faith, so basically i felt shame because i almost went back anf i felt horrible 😢 and scared and sad as i have done a terrible mistake... i think am not the only one, i think this is what Paul tell the Galatian ppl, but yeah shame is one and second one is also social media. But we can do all things Trought Christ Filipenses 4: 13

Even with all of our strength. It is only the mercy of God that will get us to get us through the cycle of sin. Addiction is no joke, being a slave to sin is difficult, and we as humans all fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 6:23) no matter how hard we work or how disciplined we are. God’s Grace is a gift, why work so hard on your strength, when we have GOD, his mercy is all we need to get rid of this cycle of sin, All you have to do is ask, ask him for his strength that you truly want to turn your life around.
