Samuro is still busted af. I played him for the first time yesterday. After 18 games in 2 days my win rate is 70% :D and one of those losses was Muradin intentionally suiciding into towers.

Did anyone notice he got the windwalker talent level one anyways? Not the clone talent? He was talking about "just imagine how well that would have went if id grabbed the right talent" but he grabbed the E talent anyways? The one he grabbed with every other deep dive build video?

Also noticed that. I dunno what he means by always taking Way of the Wind. The 4% heal isn't worth it the speed boost is better but if you gonna focus on clones, Way of Illusion, Phantom Pain and Mirrored Steel are kind of no brainers I mean we're talking about regular 500-800 damage crits later in the game when you have 2 clones out. The 30% heal over time is now integrated into Wind Walk itself there is no need to pick the level 1 Talent if you go for Illusion Master or Auto Attack Build. IM is more for team fights now.

I hear you on how great the old Sam was. It is nice to be able to kill him sometimes, though. The nerfs make him feel fair to play against. Watching old Sam videos, however, feel so good and powerful! I am conflicted.

I miss old school illusion Samuro. I agree it was ridiculous to be able to swap across the map, but I don't think killing the duration of illusions was the right call. Personally I would've liked it so that swapping has a decent range limit and then level 20 Illusion Master would allow you to have a global swap again

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the wind walk talent at lvl 1 only increases a full duration windwalk's heal from 30% max health to 34%, right? So not that much more sustain (although definitely more survivability, with the movespeed and instant 4% heal)

EDIT: Okay after testing this and watching carefully, it is very much not THAT much of a sustain. Without "way of the wind" and at level 30; wind walker heals 168 health, every second, 10 times. WITH "way of the wind" selected, it adds an additional heal, but only when activated. The moment you hit that ability, you get a 1-off instant heal of 4% your health, translating to 224 at level 30. The other 9 counts of healing gained every second is still at 168. So really the only reason to take this imo is because one is usi9ng the speed boost and skipping on level 16 shukuchi for that short range, on-demand, teleport.

It’s funny you mention how illusion master used to be the only meta allowed pick. Samuro these days with bladestorm waveclear is a siege monster. Especially before they nerfed the fountain illusion teleport, but still good

Hi Pally, thanks for the video as always! I think it is interesting you comment on a lack of talent diversity on Samuro. By the way you still heal using e without the talents at 1 and 4! I play him myself and watch Khaldor occasionally and the 'pros' in tournaments take very different talents, only e talent at 13. I understand competitive HoTS is very different to qm HoTS but i think if you trust your team somewhat then you can get a lot more damage from the clone quest at 1 and the trait talents at 16 and 20. Just something to consider. Proud of you!

You could hearth a clone, transfer to that clone, fully heal, then transfer back. All in the same fight.

Didnt play much with sam before his rework but you could basically be soaking lanes with almost no downtime and with the hearthing trick you could be back into a lane without needing to walk back

I'm going to nit-pick. I feel this game was a cop out. You did a full windwalk build and picked the objectively worse ultimate. None of your non-ulti talents supported your ultimate. Of course the build is going to feel sub-par 😢
