Can you talk about the neurology of the sinus? What nerves control mucus production, especially in the presence of allergens?

Usually we are blinking already before an object is touching the cornea. It seems to work as fast as a reflex, although some kind of interpreting functions seem to be necessary to detect/recognize a potential danger. Are we nevertheless talking about a reflex and how is the afferent part working in this case?
