Forgot to mention that I used the DLLs that came with TAKP rather than DGVoodoo downloads. I also ended up getting Project 1999 to work by enabling Gamescope and it works consistently now so I'm happy to have all of classic EverQuest working. I also switched the Windows version to XP in the WINE prefix.

Mine crashes every time I pick a UI and then it won't let me in at all. The only way I can get back is either by removing the game or removing the Zeal.asi file all together.

@@bsheets5888 Funny, I initially had the inverse in my troubleshooting. I just used the D3D8 and D3D9 DLLs from TAKP itself because later versions of DGVoodoo apparently don't work. One guide I found says to use 2.79.3 but unfortunately you can't get it anymore because it's too old for the dev to keep maintaining. I also added the native exceptions to Lutris and set the WINE prefix to Windows XP. Gamescope is apparently the only way I can consistently get P99 to work despite using all the same settings as Quarm. I didn't like it at first but I could get used to it.
