Taunt kills take on certain properties of the weapon you’re using with it. A good example is your Hadoken using the Manmelter death animation. It also counts as a kill for the weapon you’re using, so you can technically slap kill with a Hadoken. Also, the Hadoken and Equalizer taunts can destroy buildings.

As someone who's done this more times than I can count, I can safely say that you suddenly being able to turn with your taunt at 13:09 was caused by interrupting the Mannrobics taunt just before doing the skewer. It's purely visual (as you point out later in the video), but it also doesn't seem to work with most taunts that you have to open up the menu for (like partner taunts or other infinitely looping taunts like the Rancho) - in fact, doing it with those taunts cancels out the effect entirely. Additionally, if you let the Mannrobics taunt go until you get into the main looping animation, that cancels the effect too. This is purely speculative, but I think that what may be causing might have to do with the brief standstill period when you start the Mannrobics - maybe you're set to be able to turn once the main loop begins, but cancelling the taunt before that happens makes it prematurely think you're about to start the main loop so it lets you turn once you do a new taunt? Yet for some reason, this can persist when changing classes... I'm not exactly sure about how that's even possible so I'm just adding it to my list of Source Jank™. I haven't tested to see if a Pyro airblasting you out of the Mannrobics taunt during the startup causes this effect too (though I'd say that's likely the case since Engineer's steamed hands can also be caused by a Pyro's airblast), nor have I seen any other taunt make this happen (at least in the current day). This effect doesn't seem to be consistent between servers, something I've yet to figure out. -why do I know so much about a functionally useless bug? because funny haha spin-
