Sir hatha yoga is not Hatha yoga, hatha is come from tantra yoga, the form of kriya as know as hatha yoga. The first yogi and founder is god aadinath bhagwan shiv. Because in patnjali hoga sutra no wear mention about asanas name, and their technique, only told about what I'd asanas and their advantage. Thank you hari om🙏

cca 90 years ago the name Ashtanga Yoga was hijacked, and this american style of Hatha Yoga has nothing to do with Ashtanga or with Patanjali. It is a good work out - that's all. Patanjali used Yogasanas as a tool, specific Asanas for a specific Sadhana. Progress has very little to do with your physical body or your psyche, it has everything to do with your awareness.

What you are not telling people is that all of real Yoga is Hindu Dharma and therefore you are being dishonest. When you make a non-Hindu into any kind of a yoga teacher you are really being dishonest and hurtful.
