If my team didn't get him, I was hoping and praying the Spurs would get Wembanyama. Great organisation, great Coach, great culture, great track record, great international player development. Most of us NBA fans could care less about the Spurs. It's the same for the Timberwolves, NO, Dallas, Orlando, Toronto, and Portland, to name a few. When the Bulls, Knicks, Celts, Lakers, are good, it matters. I love coach Pop but SA isn't a major excitement, as franchises go in the NBA, unless you're a fan of the team.

I'm going to play the bad guy in this moment of glory for San Antonio and say, pop needs to go, the Spurs should be a youth movement team going forward, he's had his moment in the sun it's time to move on from pop he has nothing more to prove we will always be proud of what he has accomplished, he can't get no higher than the Hall of Fame and he's going into that this summer, I read at this moment he hasn't been offered a extension, I wish R.C. Buford will do the right thing like Jerry Jones did to Tom Laundry and fire him, not exactly fire him but convince him to retire, pop will never take a Spurs team to the finals again, and that's the Western conference finals.

@@gerryparker864 Actually, most NBA fans I see on the internet say they are happy the Spurs, among all NBA teams, (but theirs, obviously), got Wemby. They seem to be one of the most respected franchises out there, because they win, without the big bucks, the fancy nonsense, the flashy behaviors, the crazy egomaniac players. Just hard work, culture, and team play. And it works. Good on them.

I lived in SA the first 14 years of my life. I was 7 when the Spurs won their first championship. Ive only really known the Spurs as being elite. Its been hard the last five years seeing be mediocre to plain bad. This is the best thing to happen to the Spurs since winning our last championship in 14. It’s so awesome seeing the city not looking depressed anymore. Hopefully this will ensure the Spurs never leave SA. I’m ecstatic for the future and I pray Wemby can stay healthy and be a lifetime Spurs like David and Tim. Also I hope we get a new stadium and bring back the Alamodome era logo and court design 😂😂😂😂

Atlanta is a very mid-team that is looking very uncertain right now including noise that they could even trade Trae Young to overhaul the team. Dejounte also becomes a free agent next summer. What if this was all a plan by the Spurs to rip Atlanta of their future of the next 5 plus years so that we get Dejounte back in 2024 during our perfect rebuild? If this actually happens, my mind will be blown. This is beyond big brain stuff. This would be a heist you see in like Ocean's 11. LOL
