What Skip is missing, and what Spurs fans know (if you watch this past season), is that Pop has totally changed the way he coaches. Not only can you see it on the court and how he’s treating the players, players have consistently been saying in interviews that the old Spurs tell them how lucky they are that they’re getting a gentle and calm Pop as opposed to the Pop from back in the day. He’s very different now. Wenbenyama has TP as mentor and already knows what to expect and no doubt Parker has had Pop on the phone. But even without Parker Wenbenyama isn't a show off and is hugely respectful.
