Hahaha, yeah Boi. That brings back my whole childhood. Bouncing bait off the rocks to see what’s down there. Think that was a butter mouth perch but hard to say. Cool video and nice multi species bag. The wrasse is a muscly fish but white meat and tender. Sometimes they taste sweet but over all a delightful dish. 🤙🏻

Have yet to try Wrasse. I’ve caught some nice ones but have yet to take any home. They are very beautiful fish though. Opaleye is very tasty though if you can get some of size but haven’t seen much nice ones in the bay lately. Hopefully I can get onto some bank monsters this weekend though

You are well done. Is this a perch? Do you fish with Sportex rods?
@DavyHookedUp4 ай бұрын
Yes it is a butter lip perch or black perch. And I use St Croix and Phenix rods. Rod choice is always personal preference but those just work best for me

@@DavyHookedUp Do you fish with Sportex rods? They provide a 10 year guarantee. They also have a fishing line called Climax

@@chip_tun_rus7544 I’ve honestly never tried but I do like Okuma, their ceymar reels have done me well so I may have to try sportex rods and their line

@@DavyHookedUp I recommend Sportex. I fish with their feeder rods. Sticks fire😍

Which point of Mission Bat is this? I caught some rock wrasse with drop shot shrimp at Sunset point. My husband liked the tasers of it. I’ve been trying to catch some opaleye but no luck so far😅

Opaleye are all over the bay and some of the easiest to spot. The problem is finding some of size, I heard sunset cliffs had some good ones but I’ve never tried it out. Where there’s rocks there’s opaleye is a good rule of thumb.
