I legit cried in the middle of my work cafeteria to the Instagram video about being cancer free. I'm so happy. I've been following this journey since the day the first video was posted. I've been going through so much, totally unrelated to cancer, but these vlogs have been a huge inspiration to keep going. I feel like I'm coming out on the other side as well. Yay, so happy for you! I feel you on needing to find a rhythm again. I've been using one of those 90-day progress journals to manage my recovery and trying to get back to life after having a stroke. The undated kind, so I'm not wasting paper if there's a day where I just can't. I like the migoals 90-day Progress Journal because it's not loaded with exclamation points, but there are a bunch out there. I find it helpful when trying to remember all the little things I need to do along with progressing in getting better.

What a great way to start 2024! I also wanted to let you know I stole "we can do hard things", which you said in a recent vlog. I say it out loud to myself whenever faced with something my brain is resisting or is giving me anxiety, even if it's a small thing, and it's really helped! My hard things aren't cancer-level hard but it still helps me get through the day!

Wonderful news! Every cancer center is different. I was told I’m NED, but not cancer free. My treatment was lumpectomy, chemo (10-12) radiation for 15 days and Herceptin infusions for a year. I’ve tried 3 hormones meds and I’m now trying tamoxifen. Im having a hard time with severe side effects. Im sure my age is making a dif (71) compared to your very young age. Wishing you continued success.

First off - congratulations on meeting this checkpoint in your journey! What truly wonderful news. Secondly - I too am a cancer graduate, and would be interested in hearing if the process was different/similar to what you expected. In my own cancer journey, i found myself coping by absorbing all of my surroundings, the differences in the doctor "visits" vs normal checkups. I felt like what I expected treatment to be and what it was for me was worlds different. I know you've spoke on what you like/disliked but it would be interesting from your perspective to hear about what met your expectations or was out of left field.
