I toured the depot back in the early 90's and thoroughly enjoyed it. Such attention to detail - and the quality of the construction was still obvious many years later.

Beautiful depot. I took the train out of here on my way home after training at the Navla Training Center in 1960. It was a great start to a most enjoyable and memorable trip. I took a number of photos of the depot at the time.

This is one of the coolest buildings in San Diego. I went on the tour of the building when in turned 100 a few years ago.

The San Diego Amtrak Santa Fe Depot is one of the two most beautiful passenger train Depots in the nation, the other one is Los Angeles Union Station, both of which are my 2 favorite passenger train stations. I have been in the Santa Fe Depot many times, my most recent was when I was waiting to board Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train number 769 for Oxnard on May 27, 2017 and I returned the same day on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train number 1790. I will be visiting the San Diego Amtrak Santa Fe Depot a lot more often when I'm home in the Civilized San Diego area and will be riding the Amtrak Pacific Surfliners to & from Los Angeles & Oxnard alternating my visits there between the 2 cities.
