SAN FERNANDO Trinidad and Tobago EVENING Drive Road Trip JBManCave.com

A drive around San Fernando, Trinidad in the evening time. While driving I will be commenting about the current status of life in Trinidad and Tobago. Topics will be pulled from local online papers in August 2024 about crime and the state of infrastructure. Apparently, I made a wrong turn on a one way street in the video... I was not aware, did not do it on purpose as I am not as familiar with the streets in the city and it should NOT be the focus, if it is for you then you have missed the point of the video. Born in South lived early childhood there , grew up mostly in the north but I prefer the southland any day, there is something about the southland that does not exist in the north and I like that. Reasons why every time I visit T&T, I have to take a day at least in San Fernando.

Hey, u made an illegal right turn from Rushworth Street, onto Cipero Street. At the top of Rushworth Street, where it meets Cipero Street, u are only allowed to make a left turn or go straight. I don't know why they don't make the signs bigger so ppl would see them. This vid took me back to the days of taking lazy drives in the evening, when it was safer and gas was cheaper.

I visited Trinidad last December after 30yrs and the roads are the worse can't believe it what the government is doin with all that money and we have asphalt available

Remember San Fernando is an urban area and it's not unique to Trinidad that urban areas are the heart of crime. Regardless there is very little being done about preventing crime here and it has to do a lot on mentality. If everyone came together and worked together to stop crime, then crime will definitely go down by a lot. However, that is clearly an unrealistic dream and expectation. San Fernando looks like it's always busy and has things to do unlike the West, and more variety of services and food as well. Problem is, having a vehicle is a must even if there's the maxi taxis since they only go to a certain route while South is a big region of Trinidad.

I haven't been back home since 2003, so it was nice seeing some familiar streets in my hometown of San Fernando. I was born and raised on Bertrand St, so I was trying to see if I remember some of the streets you was on. Next time drive down some side streets.

As far as the pot hole comment I think you guys need to travel more often and see the condition of the roads of other countries. Trinidad is not as bad as you think but agree that it can certianly be improved with the resources we have.

south is more developed and in better condition than almost every part of the country but the rich west. central, north, east roads are horrible
