They will! Remember for a few years we had no first rounders and still got a few decent player. When we had a first rounders, the draft was much better; and this year a top 11 pick, that means studs will be available. We just can’t take an injured players like Kinlaw, but outside of him, Lance, and Thomas; all our first rounders have been quality starters or better. Bosa, McGlinchy, Pearsall, Aiyuk.

When they traded for Chase Young the compensatory pick was a big part of the story. It was a rental but the price was just postponing that pick by a year. The 49ers have been very good in taking advantage of the updated Rooney rule. Probably the first organization that recognized it and took advantage (and it's not like the assistants that got poached weren't good and were just DEI hires used to get picks) IIRC those picks are all at the end of the round, the order between teams that got compensatory picks is the question

I’ve been saying for weeks, sign a legit OT, Stanley or Robinson; as they can play both RT and move to LT when Trent retires; plus it’s insurance, only down side need 25-30M. However, we can take that same 30M and make our OL even stronger. We sign Drew Dalman to a five year deal, he’s 25 and ascending; great run block and above average pass protector that’s improving each year. Then we can try to obtain Kevin Zeitler, as he 34 and wants to win a ring for sure; especially if DET doesn’t win this year. 49ers can sign him to a two year deal, just estimating 15M to him and 15M to Drew, we solidly the IOL. Center: Drew Dalman Left Guard: Kevin Zeitler Right Guard: Dominic Puni Right Tackle: Rookie drafted Left Tackle: Trent Williams Or Center: Rookie Left Guard: Rookie Right Guard: Dominic Puni Right Tackle: Stanley/Robinson Left Tackle: Trent Williams Option one, I feel is the best way to go; Zeitler will play one, two years max; but it’ll give us two drafts to obtain a player and allow him to acclimate. Rookie RT is plug and play but at 11, player will mistakes, but with all three IOL on Probowl level, and HOF LT; the rookie won’t be under as much pressure to produce right away; plus with Puni and Kittle helping on right side will help a lot too. Then we draft for depth at C, G, OT, TE, EDGE, DT, LB and RB and lookout; number six will be there’s for our taking. We hit last years draft (to bad we lost Kingston, as I felt he was a keeper), and if we get solid starters and role players, that’s be just what we need an influx of talented youth and hunger.

The 49ers will HAVE to get a better schedule in terms of airline miles in 2025. They'll have to start off the season with back-to-back road games. If they end up playing the Colts in Germany, expect the 49ers to play the NY Giants the week before in order to cut down on the travel time.

Stay away from the free agent market until the team is ready to vie for the bowl without extra help. When they are there is when they should acquire a couple of impact players to give them an additional edge for winning the Bowl, but not until then. Doing it too soon more times than not ends up being a major waste of money.

Both the offensive and defensive lines are seriously lacking and injuries have taken their toll. Free agency is not the answer/.Time for a rebuild. Here is one way the 49ers can do it and regain their NFL prowess in just one draft and give Purdy the protection and the healthy weapons he will need. Trade the 11th pick overall to Cinci for the 16th pick overall and the 80th and 117th Trade the 16th overall pick to Baltimore for the 27th pick overall and the 59th and 211th Trade Nick Bosa for a first and second round pick and use them to pick up another Edge rusher and DT. Trade McCaffery for a two and a three and use them for a RB and a TE Trade Samuels for a 2nd round and forth round pick and draft a WR and a RB Let Hargrave and Trent Williams go to free up more salary cap.. 1 DE 1 OT 2 OT 2 WR 2 DT 2 DT 2 RB 3 QG 3 OG 3 LB 3 LB 4 S 4 DE 4 RB 4 CB 6 CB 6 LB 7 DT 7 LB 7 K........The three first round picks the management gave up for Lance could have easily given the 49ers all of these picks above normal picks and more. Being the main reason I would fire Shanahan. Three first round picks can be parlayed into a lot of picks. Looking to the expensive free agent market for the quick fix is not the answer and neither is throwing huge dollars at players that are in their injury prone years. Let someone else take the risk and to fork out all the money, at the expense of key positions.

On the schedule topic, the NFL hasn't done anything to help the 49ers yet. The teams we face are based on a predetermined rotation and not some decision made by the NFL. The 4th place affects 3 games, but it's NFC North, AFC North and NFC East. It's much better to face the 4th place teams there than the rest, which our division rivals will have to face. When the schedule is released we'll see if they screw the 49ers again. This season was ridiculous with the rest day disadvantage, so many big games where the opponents had a bye week just before, and two TNF games on a short week. They don't have many big marquee matchups next season, so I doubt we'll see them twice on TNF. I don't want the 49ers playing in Europe. It sucks for fans of west coast teams. 6:30 AM game? no thank you. I think they should stop with the 10AM games as well. Just not as fun for fans as 1PM games where burgers, hot dogs and beer make a lot more sense. Growing the fanbase overseas at the cost of west coast fans is just bad. We can do the Mexico games for them...
