23:06 Roger Craig always kept his legs pumping. As a Saints fan, I can appreciate the kind of runner Roger Craig was. Man, did he break a lot of tackles.

23:00 Crime this man's not in the HOF. And this was years after he broke through as the first to have both over 1,000 yards rushing and over 1,000 yards receiving in a season. 40:13 A crime I say.

Thank you so much for uploading this game! This is something I have been routinely searching for on KZbin for years, and finally I get to see it again. The extended highlights of this game were shown on Channel 4 here in the UK in ‘88 which were presented by Mick Luckhurst and for me this is the most memorable regular season game I watched as a young fan of the NFL. Pat Summerall & John Madden were such a great team to listen to and I consider it an honour to have heard their commentary most weeks when they worked together. Ronnie Lott was my favourite player back then and the play call “intercepted by Ronnie Lott, his second of the game, he just took it away” has been burned in to my brain ever since. Thanks again for the upload, I’m going to sit down with a beer and enjoy watching this right now. Cheers from across the pond. PS. Forget Brady, Jerry Rice is the GOAT.

I’d like to see the week 16 game between the rams and 49ers from 12/18/88. 49ers lost that one on purpose just to screw the giants out of the playoffs.

And then On The Final Sunday of 1988, the 49’ers got the shit beat out them in San Francisco. The way the Rams beat them, you would’ve thought that the 49’ers laid down.
@webstedge10994 жыл бұрын
The 49ers knew exactly what they were doing. The Giants had blown their finale to the Jets and lost the division to the Eagles as a result, so they needed the 49ers winning to get them into the wildcard. The 49ers, learning that the Giants had lost and remembering losing to them in the playoffs two years in a row, took full advantage of that. It was even more obvious because the Niners had been on cruise control going into that game and were heavy favorites, yet for those 60 minutes, a pop warner team would have been more effective against the Rams. It worked like a charm. While the Rams were going one-and-done and the Giants were playing golf, San Francisco won their next two playoff games by a combined 62-16 and went on to win the whole thing.

webstedge1099 The Los Angeles Rams lost the Wild Card Game to the Vikings at Minnesota.
@webstedge10993 жыл бұрын
@@Jiltedin2007 That game was Vikings 28, Rams 17 but seriously, the Lambs were never really in it; LA put up a couple of mommy-pleaser scores in garbage time to make the final look closer. If the Niners had won their regular season finale, the Giants would've made a more competitive game vs. Minny (or maybe a home playoff game instead had they not blown the Jets' week 16 trap game and conceded the division to the Eagles after spending like 12 weeks in first)
