Was this Saturday 9/18? I was out there too. Headed in from Dux with 0 salmon at 11am when wind started picking up. First and last time I go out the gate with a south wind forecast.

@@jkwan81 We passed pt bonita at about 12:10 and went to the shipping channel and turned east with the current. We were taking large splashes to the windshield about every 5 minutes for a while. Luckily never took one over the bow. Not fun!

Hey great video just wondering have you seen a difference in wave height at slack tide at full tide or low tide, would you recommend a certain time to cross the bar? Going south

Yes! Tidal flow is the main variable (wind is another). Look at the current, generally the less flow the better. A few hrs and its a totally different place. Going S. can be dangerous, there is no channel on the S. side. Go out the main channel and stay in deep water.
