Ironic & sadly the last ever Roller Derby Championship of any sort. As Roller Games became the only game N town four months later!

If I remember correctly, it was a last second heartbreak for the Pioneers and their fans. Charlie O finally got his revenge against Buddy Atkinson (Atkinson was the coach of the New York Chiefs when they defeated the Bombers to claim last season's championship).

Sadly 2nd half was never kept drguffey. If only it was. I missed this event broadcasted on TV when I was mandated 2 a family event by my Mother. How traumatizing that was! Especially when there was no way 2 videotape that event personally!
