I love Hon's! My favorite chicken is the dry fried wings from San Tung on Irving at 11th.

My father used to take us to get that chicken in the late 70's but at Gourmet Kitchen a few doors down from Golden Daisy. I've continued going there into my 50's when I visit SF. Wish there was a recipe for it online.

We went to SF in July and ate at Chef Hung's on Clay St in Chinatown!! Have you heard of them? We were going to go to House of Nanking and it was filled with tourists. My husband said alot of locals just went in to Chef Hung's and decided to go there instead. All the seats were filled with locals and one other couple from out of town. The food was really good, we ate there twice.

Pineapple King Bakery on Irving also has the egg white custard, but I haven’t tried. I love the pineapple bbq bun there. I have tried the egg white custard that’s in Chinatown. My favorite place to get egg custard is at Garden Bakery cause it’s not as greasy.
