Home decor is very personal. It is what makes you happy and not necessarily what is on trend. It is what makes you feel at home. I LOVE decorating from my family heirlooms or personal mementos! Even wall colors should be what makes you happy! Gray or white, to me feels cold. I love (for my home) light yellows and natural wood tones!

When you said to work with what you have even though it's not fully your esthetic, I felt that ❤ we're ever changing. Sometimes things are gifted, or our styles change. It doesn't mean we should always be sending money to get new things! I love taking my time collecting various home decor from family, thrift stores & new products. I loved to make my home pretty when I was young with found objects and thrifted Th ings . I found furniture and refinished it for my home. That sweet sleeping Bubs is so adorable and what a cute family you guys are with your baby and fur baby additions this past year. The way you're talking make me think you will be moving in the not to distant future so Monty will get his own room around the age of 1. It won't be long!!! I live in NYC in a tiny, old apartment. It is nice to see how you make smaller spaces work and I love that you acknowledge that it can be a slowly evolving decorating process. I have a few plants, but they don't seem to like me much.
