I don't think anybody would ever consider that an unreasonable opinion; the pure diversity regarding the geography, microclimatic zones, cities, rural landscapes, and of course, the variety of freeways, bridges and 2 lane highways is really hard to top, anywhere in the U.S.

i live 2 hours north of san francisco. when i was younger, once a month. i would go spend a night or 2 with my aunt in san francisco. i always loved walking along all the piers at night. sadly, she moved. and i haven't been to san francisco sense. my new #1 favorite city is monterey CA and i pass through san fran on the way. i freaking love monterey. i just got back from there a week ago and i already want to go back.

So I've driven the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, Golden Gate, and the Bay Bridge with my college friend from Southern California recently and he said that his favorite bridge in the Bay Area is the Bay Bridge. He really loves the upper deck at night with all the nights with compliments of the city lights.

I'm planning on filming some streets tours (separate day and night videos)...videos of San Francisco, and then videos of Oakland & Berkeley. Perhaps even a Peninsula daytime street tour (mainly focusing on the Downtown centers from South San Francisco, down to Mountain View). Perhaps then you'll be able to visually understand what makes the Bay Area so unique.

I actually have the camcorder on a tripod, placed on the passenger side. The vibrations more to do with imperfections within the roadway (choppy concrete, for example), and California is notorious for having some bad pavement.

@JayGatsbyOdysseus SF is great. I live in this place called Alameda though. It's right next to Oakland. If you want to go to Oakland too, just don't go on the East side. it's not that good. If you want, you can also visit Alameda. it's a nice little town.
