I remember the Fillmore was a cool swinging neighborhood in the 60's. My mother use to take me to Lou Gage record shop on Fillmore street. We bought all our 45's and 33 lp's there!!!!!!

Ah, the Fillmore! Otherwise known as “Lower Pacific Heights.” I grew up in Cow Hollow in the 1950-1960s just outside the Presidio Main Gate. Mom was from Japan and used to send me on small shopping trips on the Muni to Tokyo Fish Market at Fillmore and Bush. Twenty years later I worked at a small Japanese-English newspaper (6 pages in Japanese with two pages in English). The English section included a classified section. I took and typeset the English classifieds. One day a man called with an Apartment for Rent ad. The apartment meant was in “Lower Pacific Heights.” I asked “Where is that?” since I’d never heard of It. “On Fillmore near Bush,” he answered. Real Estate word games.

I am a graduate of Galileo alos in 1986. Miss those days, but I don't miss the cities. Depression as hell there and I had to move

I might be able to answer. I was born n raised in the Mission district of SF and I still live in the city. When I was in HS I went to Galileo which is considered a Fillmore school. I also spent a lot of my youth in the Fillmore.
