While living in SF, I told my girlfriend at the time in 1992 that this was coming and coming a lot faster than her and anyone else knew. I saw no point in making long term personal investments in a community that was and will implode. She thought I was crazy. So. I used to work very close to where that Safeway is. On the other side of the street you have Japantown, but on that side, you have the Fillmore itself, which has always been a sketchy area. Well done indeed! When the plan is to destabilize an area and steal it out from under it's residents, I'd say their plans are going swimmingly! The pride and blind obedience to illegitimate authority is beyond stunning, it's beyond explanation. There, no doubt, will be a resurgence in all of these SABOTAGED CITIES. My cousin works nearby. He has a crazy story almost everyday of someone came in the shop and start breaking everything, acting like a fool, over nothing. Its a very small percentage of psychos ruining it for everyone else. Its stressful on people just working their jobs each day to deal with all this.
