Yep. Things have spun out of control and it's a mad scramble to fix it. I doubt that the number of homeless in S.F. has decreased in the past few years. I wonder how many "new" homeless people show up in S.F. every day? You never hear about that statistic but someone in the Administration knows the answer.

Rents are relatively stable and affordable in the TL in my opinion (key word: relatively). I rent a renovated 2 bedroom with a roommate on Geary and Hyde for $2250.

I'm 26 and really love living in the city and this is basically the only area I can afford that's close to downtown and with only 1 other roommate (as opposed to having 4 roommates in a house in the Richmond or something). I'm also on Geary which is the northern border of the tenderloin so its not as bad as the blocks further south. I'd say its definitely worth it for me, but I'm also 6'1" and know how to carry myself when walking at night so I've never been victimized.

I watched an old black and white movie from 1950, Woman on the Run, which was filmed in San Francisco. Even without color you clearly could see the absolute beauty and cleanliness of the city. I understand from other KPIX reports the drug dealers are claiming to be "Trafficked" and the jury will not prosecute.

I think The National Guard is a good ideas. Just bring in the amount of people you need to help the police and city workers. Oakland also needs the National Guard to help the police in Oakland. National Guard requires the request of the Governor. More money to be made with Overtime, with employees, not really working overtime, and then crying they are working overtime. Yeah thats because historically queer, trans, and black people have been forced to live in the TL in "despair" because of bigoted policies going back decades. Those trans flags on the street poles are there because even in the one area trans people were relegated to, the police still found a way to harass and punish them for existing. Trans people fought back during the Compton's Cafeteria riot in 1966 which is why the intersection of Taylor and Turk is so important to the trans community.
