@@e.e.e She didn't say it was from chile. She said it reminds her of Easter island where she's from. So no need to be rude to her comment. Every culture has traditional dances, and once you love dancing you are going to admire and appreciate other cultures native dancing. So there is no need for you to tell her that it's your culture dancing because Tahiti is a french island. Everyone that went to school and did geography learned about different parts of the world and the things each place is known for etc. And because someone of another culture or country sees the dancing and admires it doesn't mean that they are taking Tahiti as their own or claiming to be one. You are just trying to be rude and insultive towards other people that admire the dancing of another culture. Everyone and anyone has every right to admire and appreciate other cultures dancing. It isn't a crime to like or admire another culture dancing. Music and dancing is world wide and it brings joy in everyone because it is a universal language that brings everyone together without it being marked or based on skin colour or whether you are the same culture. Because wherever you go and music is there it brings everyone that is in that room or event dancing together and having fun with each other. And that is how it should be, singing songs and dancing together without even knowing each other. It is called love, humanity and being social with others. But you don't seem to know about love and unity as a whole. All you seem to know is how to dismiss others for liking something of another culture and tell them that it is yours because you are french and Tahiti is a french island. When she didn't try to claim it as her Chilean culture, all she said was it remind her of her culture. Please learn to read other people's comments correctly and understand what they are saying before replying with such rude comments. No need to be negative towards others, instead be positive and say thank you for appreciating our cultural dancing. Change your mindset and ignorant attitude. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Well that was a very clear way to say it! thank you! I was reaching for that. How can one identified with a culture that one is not a part of so deeply and so profoundly? It seems strange to me but perfectly right and perfectly expressing that connection to-spirit to the earth and to the ancestors

I gotta say this is amazing! As someone who has studied my own cultural dancing, I'm fascinated. I've known of Polynesian style dancing for a while now but never seen it like this! I was in traditional dance like ballet and tap for 15 years. Basically born dancing lol. As an adult my interest has moved toward cultural dancing. I'm Irish and African mostly which has been fascinating as well.
