I assume you're speaking of the Hopi. Hopi's climate is vastly different than California farming. On Hope lands, monsoons dump most of their yearly precipitation from June to August, precisely when the plants need it most. Californian gets little to no rainfall from June to August. Dry farming with cover cropping has been the typical method since the dawn of agriculture worldwide before the advent of electrically pumped wells and community water systems So, what indigenous people would he have appropriated this method from?

The attack on irrigation farming is not welcome. If something works it should stand on it's own and not need to attack other methods. You can always tell propaganda by the need to attack and minimizing the downsides. Try presenting just the facts next time.

Bro if dry farming requires NO water and produces BETTER flavor then it's a better method if useable
