They'll be fine. They're just off hauling excursions for Steamtown and the BNSF and so forth. They'll be back someday.

Frank once hauled excursions for the BNSF Railroad but is now enjoying his retirement in a railroad museum where he tells the other engines stories. Craig worked in Steamtown but is now on it of comission and will be greatly missed as steamtown has no plans to return him to serive. I do not know what happened to Nathan but they all were fired.

She's only like that because the other's were trying to pull the wool over her metaphorical eyes. This was a result of having to spend decades defending herself against many of the larger freight engines on the SP who were much worse. As she explained to Anthony.

I can definitely see why it would be easier to sympathize more with Craig and the others, even if their plan is reckless and a bit selfish. They're more every-man, relatable characters and Sidney is supremely and unashamedly confident due to being around engines that have constantly challenged her abilities. That kind of personality can come across as arrogant to some and understandably so. Either way, strong opinions about a character (whether positive or negative) mean that she's written well and I'm so excited that people feel strongly enough about her to share their thoughts. There's no right or wrong take on her, everyone's entitled to feel as they feel, but it can help sometimes to know where a character is coming from. :)

Nathan has probably been operation most of the time as have Frank and Craig. Nathan and Frank have probably had some good times, but Craig's been miserable on the Gettysburg railroad. Nathan will be back first, then Frank, and finally Craig.

RailsofMichigan This was a way to get the engines into some new territory. Craig and Frank will step into their excursion careers of 3254 and 1522 as they had in the 80s and 90s, while Nathan is going to travel around.
