Makes no sense to throw a Mohawk and two Mountain type engines away for a Pacific. Bruh moment. Not to mention the fact that even if the freight wines down, it will come back eventually, doing that will make things worse and maybe even send the company into bankruptcy because unreliability due to shortage of engines, and the public may not like the decision. And I've played Trainz before, based on the two Pacific's I own, against Mountain types...they don't perform well, especially on grades. It takes a long time for one of them to even start up a 5-car passenger train, but they do top out at 105 MPH after a bit, but I would not suggest them as primary locomotive for freight, nor passenger trains.

Probably not, because those ones are specific to the Friends of the 261 group. The originals were based on the Olympian Hiawatha, which are vastly different from the cars not original to the Milwaukee Road.
