The cove south of Maderas, playa Marsella is a calm water cove . Less crowded. A swimming cove, not a surfing cove. Great for little kids. Just follow the signs from San juan

Hey Maddie! We’ve just discovered your channel and are enjoying your videos. Last January we went to Costa Rica, flying into San Jose and were in Quespos, Manuel Antonio, Uvita, Drake, areas. This year we’re thinking of flying into Liberia and checking out that area and possibly heading north into Nicaragua. Which areas did you prefer? We are on a budget and like to spend our days hiking. Did you prefer Costa Rica or Nicaragua?
@MaddieTravel10 ай бұрын
Costa Rica has more wildlife, but I preferred Nicaragua over Costa Rica. Nicaragua is about 1/3 the price of Costa Rica, the culture is very rich, plenty of activities, a fun laid back atmosphere (it feels genuine and not fake like the pura vida in CR, just my opinion). If you don't have a lot of time for Nica then I recommend you check out Ometeppe, its an island on a lake with 2 massive volcanoes. Great hiking and very laid back. I have a full video on it, you can find it in my Central America playlist. I hope this helps 💛

Is the sand super dirty or like regular sand?
@MaddieTravel6 ай бұрын
I felt like the sand was regular, but I've been to some very very dirty beaches, so I think it's all about perspective. Definitely cleaner than a lot of beaches in Asia. Thanks for watching & being a subscriber 💛

You can take taxis from Liberia to the border and another taxi into SJDS. There are also busses but takes a lot longer.

All point out some opposite. The down town area you need to be cautious with jewelry and cell phones some friendly individual may pick pocket. It highly populated of dogs with out proper care expect braking all night if it bugs you. More then 50% of the residences smokes if you're a non smoker some one will light one up beside you're meal. I came here during Christmas found there more men to women ratio witch is discouraging trying to compeate for attention if that what you're hoping for bonus if you are a women. There is alot of lgtbqs locals and tourists I have meet a few very nice people there not woke like north America I say that for positive thing. People are happy going and welcoming. We came in from costa rica it haft the price for same goods except a car rental. You will pay 1000 to 1500 uds per 1 month for wheels unless u rent a bike you will need motorcycle skills in order to keep up and zizzag traffic.
