In the U.K. ( well the north east where I’m from) we call Limbers, ice cups. They were always a treat as a child in the summer, usually home made. They were better than ice pops as you got more and we used to have them made with cola, lemonade or cherryade!

If you're looking to actually spend time in San Juan, there's a hotel next door to the El San Juan that's a little dated, but it's reasonable and clean. The ESJ Towers. We've stayed there a couple times. The beaches are all public in Puerto Rico, so if you want to go to the beach, it doesn't matter where you stay, you can always get to the beach. But the ESJ Towers were always nice and accommodating and very very very reasonable. It's in the touristy area of town, not near old San Juan where a lot of the good local stuff is, but it's easy to get to there, and there's a lot of nice local places near those hotels. The last time we were there, El Castillo was worth the stop too.

Hi! Thanks for sharing your visit with us! I love your video, so cheerful and well edited! I grew up in Old San Juan and I do love the architecture as well; tropical during the day and magical at night ✨ The limbers 🍧 person is THE BEST!! My favorite is the coco 🥥 flavor 😝 Also I am so surprised to see 🥰 local crafts of my favorite shop in your video at 22:04! The shop is Puerto Rican Art & Crafts 🧡 on Fortaleza St…. I actually have the jíbaro man roasting the pig 🐷 and use it as part of my xmas decor (since it’s very big in our culture) ❣️ Hopefully on your next trip back the mallorcas will be available 🤍💛🤍 they are soo yummy and definitely worth the try.
