San Juan River Fly Fishing Report From Our Guides (May 1, 2024)

The official May 1st San Juan River fly fishing report from the guides of Fisheads San Juan River Lodge. Report given by Chris Taylor, owner. Fishing has been great in the early morning on leeches, eggs, and red larva. In the later of the morning, midges in chocolate, gray, and olive have been working well. In the afternoon we've been seeing good Baetis hatches and have been fishing gray and chocolate emergers. Hope to see you here!
