Have to go but will watch later. Can I just say before I watch this, I had the Tissot PRX and disappointingly for a Swiss made watch, the seconds hand missed EVERY marker bar two of them. I couldn't keep it, it felt like a waste of money when they can't take care of the most basic quality expectations. I sold it quickly, luckily only lost about $30 on it.

I’ve seen Longines watches for £1,300 do the same thing. Shocking really. If a company can’t make the seconds hand hit the markers, they should just do away with the hand altogether.
@brianmsahin2 жыл бұрын
@@the_9ent So true my friend. And it's ironic that my G-Shock GG-1000 Mudmaster which cost me about $240 equivalent can hit every marker without fail and I've seen even cheaper Casio's and Seiko's hitting markers bang on. I'm honestly not surprised at Longines either. You're right, if they can't do it, leave it out, but honestly they should be able to do for those prices. Appreciate the response.

The ETA F06 inside the Tissot is the same as the one that I have in my Marathon GPQ. Yes, they don't hit the minute tracks, but I don't really mind it on the Marathon. But on the Tissot? Yeah, it looks terrible sometimes. Thanks for watching bro 😎

Ok, have now got time to watch your excellent video! You might have read my negative experience with my particular PRX. On balance, if you don't mind a homage I would definitely go for the San Martin. An automatic watch at less than 11mm is quite impressive. The extra heft is on balance good as I felt my Tissot felt a bit flimsy, likely due to the lighter weight as personally I like a hefty weight. Just to note I have an 8" wrist so the size of these watches are more suited to the bigger wrist.
@NMwatch2 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah. Definitely will fit 8 inches wrist better than mine. The watch head itself is very good. Shame about the bracelet, only a little bit of radius on the edge would make it a perfect watch. Thanks for watching bro 😎

I like both but they are far too large for me. I think SM are charging a little too much when you can buy the watch it’s homaging for about the same price.

Well, I can understand why SM charge that much, but will definitely appreciate if they can reduce the prices. Anyways, thanks for watching 😎

I do agree that SM has been creeping up in price a bit too much. In this case, though, you are getting an automatic movement watch for the price of a quartz PRX. The Auto PRX is like 650, or so.

Nice to see a comparing review of both. I am sure people will like, one or the other or both. Personally both are big no-no for me for several reasons: - don't like integrated bracelet at all : effective lug2lug is always massive, the strap change is always complicated and if any issues in the future, always a pain to find replacement. - when "dial only" watch I can only get watches of 38mm or below, but really no more than 38mm, otherwise I find the dial to look like a plater on wrist. - finally, don't like quartz, no matter how qualitative these could be, just don't like quartz.
@NMwatch2 жыл бұрын
I was never a fan of integrated bracelet design as well. But since I have about 50 watches now, having a few won't be a big issue for me. And quartz, they are handy to have, but not the ones that I would definitely reach when I open the watch box (boxes actually 😅🤣). Thanks for watching 😎

I don't like HDR videos, they look terrible on non HDR enabled devices, great video tho, when I saw SM making this watch i wondered if the bracelets were compatible with the actual PRX.

Sorry about the HDR. I'll revert back to my normal 1080p settings. I've since returned the Tissot PRX. So I'm not sure how it fits. Thanks for watching 😎

Interesting design that wears larger due to the lug and integrated bracelet. Definitely not gonna pull the trigger and like you, may pull it if Tissot produce a 35mm auto

Thanks for the review /comparison. I won't get anything more by SanMartin until they start putting the correct movement in the non dates. It's just lazy and until people stop putting up with it they will not change. They are charging too much to do this. Other Chinese companies who charge less can manage to use N38s..

Well I agree with you on the movement. But case finishing wise, the SM is great value for money. Anyways, thanks for watching 😎

I think it's just better to buy PRX, this isn't true homage from SM, so kinda shame ot see that honestly, they have real deal homages that have no alternatives in the market, but come on, for the price, just buy PRX.

@@jaer.6540 "Swiss Made" watches are actually made in Switzerland. Some lower to middle tier models sometimes include MIC parts, if that's what you mean. That's a galaxy away from being made in Chinese sweatshops.

Tissot punya caseback jenis snap on. Bila nak bukak dia memang annoying gila sebab nudge dia halus sangat konon2 nak bagi nampak kemas. Gotta use a really thin and sharper tool nak peeking in to bukak. If me, I would suggest everyone who’s getting a PRX, go for automatic. 1. You won’t get annoyed with the second hands yg tak align properly to each second marker. 2. Battery change is annoying bila habis. On average Tissot watch mati battery around 2-3 years after every swap. Due to the case design, amateur without proper tool tak dapat buat properly. So you gotta change at the shop which they usually charge around 120-180 bucks just to change the battery. If you’re the guy who annoyed with such price just to swap a RM3 battery for the watch, then go for automatic.

Well, that's definitely what I did with the San Martin. Not a daily watch and also to judge if I can wear the real thing. As of now, I'm not going to get the Powermatic PRX or the quartz version. Why do you give the measurements of the watch in the metric system but when you give the measurements of your wrist you give it in inches? That is completely ABSURD. Either you give all measurements in metric or you give all measurements in inches. And I remind you that watch brands around the world only use the metric decimal system.
